The real question is whether they are actually able to fix the queue or not. I have been told its still buggy on pc, at least the grp queue. Still amazed that after 2 years that tool is not working propperly.
Reminds me of the cakefiasko
Even with today's update the BG queues are still broken. If you look at ZOS's track record with group finder, it's obvious they have no idea how to do such a basic feature correctly.
The saddest part is so many games have queueing that works perfectly, and the ones that have issues fix it so quickly. But here we are years later for group finder and it's still broken, and there were so many "fixes" since the PTS and the BG queues are still busted.
Don't hold your breath folks, the odds of this being fixed are pretty much zero.

Once again console payers don't seem to understand. There its a process to loading a patch, update or dlc to xb or ps. It had to go through Microsoft or Sony before it can be sent to you guys. Pc they do not have this limit, they simply push the patch and done. This is why toy guys get it after, not to mention there ARE slight modifications that need to be made to the coding and such when going from pc to consoles. I have been through the process for a company I use to work for and is a pain in the butt. So we used pc to test before sending it to consoles.
As for paying extra that's not zos but Microsoft and Sony charging you for live and plus.
Maybe another thing to add to the discussion: because of the different software packaging, console updates tend to be much larger than patches for PC.
So while I agree it sucks to get patches later, I really wouldn't prefer having to download updates for ESO every week.
And this is not because I'd have a bad connection.
Only a quick summary for Xbox One:
1.7.0.0: 26,4 GB
1.7.1.0: 12 GB
1.7.2.0: 600 MB yay
1.8.0.1: 32,6 GB
console players get every patch 2-3 weeks late, its been like that since 2 years, since the start.
At least PC players beta test for you, find bugs and so on.
You just could have canceled your preorder when you heard about all the bugs on PC, no reason to whine about it now.

A fix like this would be tailored specifically to the broken BG functions, so we'd be talking on the scale of one of the smaller patches (patch was 116 mb on PC). So it would likely be larger on console, but I doubt it would be over 1 GB.

I tried to sum up all the PC patches to compare PC vs. Xbox (comparing only same patch cycle) and never came to a result near the download sizes on Xbox.
Has to be something like the launcher on PC can patch specific files while Xbox has to download the whole file again.
Anyway, I see the problem with delayed patches, I only wanted to add that if Zos changed that, for sure you would see topics like "ahhh, change that, my internet explodes".

In the beginning of this game's release i had asked zos to changed their patch process for updates to be streamlined for consoles. they stated it cost extra money which they did not want to fork up. This was for regular patches and hotfixes, now we have a Main feature BG's que broken and zos does not want to spend the money needed to fix the problem. its sad, they could give two *** about console players we are peasents to them. we are low priortity or at least the pvp aspects of this game, and it shows... the famous quote," you know you don't have to be here right?" they play us for fools, and we are fools for speding our time and money on this game and they cant even please their pvp audience.... why? because this game didnt pull the money they wanted w the pvp route and went to crown sales pve items and whale sales thats where their audience is and thats who they are catering to with their priorities... now being console and pvp.... GG they dont give a *** man they don't, i'll say it time and time again their actions do not prove it!!!!!! no effort, no passion, no love, no community, no leadership it starts from the top and trickles down.... they game has tremendous pvp potential, i'll repeat Tremendous ! they just flush it down the gutter because it didnt go the way they wanted it to.... no the team has downsized, to what seems like one programmer who does coding to remove bugs and all others work on crown sale items and the likes, their superiors dont give them the budget to make these things happen.
