What is up with dolmens?!! 73k death cap..

This patch.. Ha ha. My 36k hp tank just got killed at a dolmen while tanking the final Harvestor boss; two separate 18k-something damage showing on my death cap. Wtf?! How does a mini-dolmen harvestor boss kill a tank with just 2 shots while tanking? I need a break from ESO. Ha ha ha. Yeah, yeah, there is no need to tank at a dolmen, but I was just messing around with my tank. Nonetheless.. I say again, wtf!!

Just an update today: So yeah.. a single 73k static charge death cap. Ha ha ha!

    Ok, there seem to be a bad glitch at dolmen or something. Last week, my tank was knocked out by two separate 18k-something shots by a harvestor. Just today at another dolmen with my 20k hp NB, while at the final round boss (this time a daedroth), my screen went red indicating my hp is almost depleted and my toon is about to die. This is during when multiple other toons are also engaging the daedroth boss. What the hell, man?! My toons are all maxed CP and resistance are quite fair in the higher teens bracket. Again, during a couple other dolmen runs today, same thing; my screen went red and my toon was about to die. It doesn't appear at all to be from multiple shots from the enemy, but rather just a single shot. It doesn't occur at all dolmen run, but seem to be randomly or something.

    I never hit screen red like this at a dolmen, prior to this patch, even when soloing and with my non-cp toons. Is this really a glitch or is it how it's intended to be; how enemies in PvE have been purposely enhanced with this Morrowind patch? Anyone else feeling this pain? There is no way them baddies at a dolmen are normally pushing out such high damages; more so like in vet dungeons.

    They just changed how dolmens work not that long ago to stop botters farming at dolmen spots so you can't stay still anywhere while a dolmen is up or you get a damage buildup that will inevitably kill you as you've probably noticed.
    You will have to keep moving or you will die.. if you're staying still, you're basically acting like a bot if you get what i mean.
    Hope this clears it up a little.. i've not even done a dolmen since they changed it and i've seen a few people complaining about it but i think it is a good idea if it stops botters from making money out of the game.

However, with my NB today.. nope, I was moving and grooving, weaving and dancing like a butterfly and stinging like a bee and all that jazz. Ha ha. Even when I was messing around tanking, I wasn't standing still tanking long at all. I would say, from the point when the harvestor boss dropped, to me throwing up my shield and then dying with that two 18k shots.. it probably was 5-10 seconds, maybe, if even.

    Try it again, and try not standing still at all and see if the same thing happens. The anti bot thing will get you fast if you stop moving.

    Try it again, and try not standing still at all and see if the same thing happens. The anti bot thing will get you fast if you stop moving.

    I been running pretty much dolmens all day. Like I said, I don't stand around. Thanks for your feedback, though. It somewhat makes a little bit more sense, I guess. Ha ha. So, this anti-bot thing is causing some unintended side-effect, I see. Oh, urrgh.. *sigh*

    Like all things ZOS the anti bot thing may be a little buggy and over tuned.
    I noticed this on my dragonknight who of course taunts stands and fights more but no where near a rubber band addict just standing there.

    "Working as intended".

    I know it's standard procedure for Tanks to buff and shield up and just stand there taking hits but at Dolmens you can't do that anymore, even if you just need to make little steps to the sides, just don't plant your feet.

    Heh. It isn't just the standing-still circle of shock (which can happen pretty fast) - it's also other people's circles of shock, which can overlap and shock the hell out of everybody.

    And the dolmen monsters got buffed. The daedroth in particular you want to kill as fast as possible now, their new AOE isn't necessarily deadly on its own, but then not everyone on a dolmen is wearing decent gear or using a food buff. Many more ghosts in the dolmen horde now.
    Classes that don't need any class ability nerfs: Nightblades, Dragonknights, Sorcs, Templars, Wardens.

    I just ignore the sirens now. They used to be such fun. on the rare occasion that I play a dolmen, i wait literally 2 minutes for the chest to show at the end, only to be rewarded with a green 'order of diagna' thing. Or a two-handed axe with charged trait in blue.

    Long gone are the days when the bosses themselves would drop zone-items. Now you get stocking-filler potions.
    I got suspenders for saying "Testicular Mass" instead of "Balls". like, rilly.

    If you don't move, but still attack/use abilities you still count as afk/bot and discharges kill you.

    I like the change. Dolmens such as the Auridon one on the PS4 are now good to go to at night and weekends. Blame the scrubs, not the devs. If people didn't abuse this ***, we'd still be going our merry way.

    They have changed some of the monsters mechanics in the world. Daedroths, Harvestors and Ogrims have all had their damage buffed and new mechanics added. You also take more damage if you are standing in the aoe when the monster lands.

    Well, Devs could have banned the bots directly instead of using this method, or just implemented a different way to deal with the problem, like logging of accounts that are spamming the same process. But nope, they always mess with everyone instead of with the cheaters only. Like, someone abuses a Sorc "something", all Sorcerers are punished. Someone uses a NB in a way not intended, all NBs are punished. Some uses a skill to abuse something, let's nerf the skill for everyone, PvPers complain about this, let's punish PvEers. Someone found a way to be a god with high damage and high resources, let's punish all TESO players. Bots farm dolmens, let's change dolmens for the entire 10.000.000 players. ZOS logic.

    Yeah, yeah.. this is my hybrid dps/tank. I do have another DK tank that has 72k hp, but that one can't dps worth shite, soloing and just use it for show... whenever I feel like bringing it out and go, hey, look at my big bad tank, guys. Ha ha. So, I also created this one so I can actually dps while frolicking around PvE land. Haaa, even for trials, a 40k tank will fair just fine. This hybrid dps/tank, aside from the dolmen fiasco, is better able to solo world bosses, for this post-Morrowind patch, than any of my other stam dps toon. Even though ZOS/dev has pushed this current state of ESO to be more group-focused and less solo-friendly, I still like to solo things. With my stam toons, they are having terrible time soloing world bosses and higher end contents with this patch.

    So, with mid-30s stamina pool and max weapon damage almost 3k, this tank is a fair dpser. Man, there are just so many toons/players running around PvE land that just seem they cannot dps or know how to use more than just one or two skills during a fight. I run this dps tank through dungeons, and it just seem better that I can be the third dpser and still able to tank the bosses. Like I said, some dudes just cannot dps; particularly in some dungeon runs, here and there. It's kind of sad, really, when you're tanking and you're seeing other toons/dpsers's hp draining or dying, then you have to switch mode to dps, ha ha

Well, there are still one or two, here and there, at a dolmen that I've seen just standing there.. as recent as yesterday. They are not rubber-banding. They just stand there in the ring, wait and do nothing (while everyone else are engaging the adds) until the dolmen is over and then just go to the chest, or they'll finally move to attack the final boss. Nope, nothing seem to happen to the these dudes that I've seen.

    Yeah, I had mentioned before about how dolmen adds and bosses have been buffed up with this patch, but I was taking flack from some who didn't believe me. I like the upgrades/add-ons to the adds and bosses.. well, aside from having a tank killed by 2 shots, ha ha. However, it can be annoying when you in the midst of destroying an add or two, then all of a sudden, bamm, you get knocked down, then realizing an Ogrim had thrown a boulder at you from a distance; same with the daedroth that can blast you with the flame attack from a distance that also knocks you down, among other added abilities to adds at dolmen. Although, still fairly easy, yes, dolmen has been upped a step or two and bit more interesting. Ha ha

    Similar experience, testing some tank gear swaps on my Templar...

    Do the around-the-mulberry-bush dance until the final boss spawns (stationary time approx 3-4 seconds, you know dropping those stationary Templar skills like ZOS?), boss drops in (that massive flesh atronach), taunt, debuff, block up, flashy red screen, dead ...

    ***? 18k + 18k + some other minor hits.

    I skulked away shame-faced and embarrassed, cause who needs a tank that taunts and turns the final boss at dolmen's right?

    Ok.. ha ha. Sorry, not that it's really that funny, but I'm kind of glad (I guess) that I'm not the only one experiencing such wackiness at dolmens. Yeah, damages are being put out from dolmens adds and bosses, at times, like vet dungeons or even seemingly surpassing. Like I said, I don't know if it is just a bad side-effect of the anti-bot thing or just a bad glitch.. but damn, messing around tanking or not, to see damages that high on your death cap or a toon with 20+ hp, all of a sudden, your screen goes red, you can't help but scratch your head and say, wtf! I wonder if anybody from the good ZOS lounge are somewhat adhering to this, and hopefully, maybe, somebody there could be addressing this issue. Would be so nice, if so..

    That crazy damage glitch or whatever it is, aside.. come to think of it, dolmen has not been an enjoyable experience for me with this patch than prior. Ok, adds and bosses are upgraded a bit.. fine, good to have, but damn, if anyone else also noticed, every other hit or something striking you seems to be a knock-down, disorienting, maim, cripple and whatever slow-you-down, speed reducing crap.. damn! Prior to this patch, I used to enjoy romping and pommeling through dolmen after dolmens while soloing and decimating whatever adds, mobs or boss coming at you. Now, it just seem more of, ok, dammit, I gotta get through three dolmens to get my Fighters' drop today. Ha ha.. good lord.

    You're just going to have to keep moving. It's not like it requires any great effort or resources.

    Killing bots is much more important than being able to stand still in combat.

    My only problem with this (not standing still) is with my sorcerer because one of my spells takes a few seconds to cast, and if I cast it right after another ability, which I do often, that stupid build up starts, and I end up not able to cast the spell because I have to move before that eruption kills me.
    Clueless, but willing to learn.

    In crowded fights my lag abysmal fps means I'm stuck standing still against my will and frantic effort to move and do anything useful. So far I haven't died more than a couple of times but damn it's been close.
    Everything will be alright in the end, if its not alright its not the end.

    This is good to know. Thanks folks. My Bow Warden was killed a few times while standing just out of range.
    Must've not been moving.
