Veteran Halls of Fabrication is tough, especially with the cost reduction removal.
Completing it rewards you with a skin. The skin needs some serious rework. Why is it patchy in the first place? Imagine if it just covered your whole body in bronze. It'd look so much better.

I wish they'd done something with it. When I first heard that we were getting this skin, I seriously thought it would be some kind of bio-mechanical look for the character, so they'd actually appear to be a fabricant. Nope. Just chipped body paint. You've got my sympathies.1 -

The only good thing about it is that it'll remain unique for awhile since vHoF is so difficult/low FPS.
I haven't even bothered atm. Only times I have gone with our team is to replace people and help out. It's so ugly I don't even want to use it

Its a shame with how much work went into the trial, bosses look good, the area looks good, mechanics are unique etc...

✭✭✭✭✭It really depends on your base skin color. On a yellow-skinned Altmer, the patchiness kinda blends in and doesn't look so bad. On a blue-skinned Dunmer, it looks weird. On a pale-skinned Breton, it looks like a bad case of some sort of skin disease.
It does look kinda nice on the two beast races, though.
But I agree that the patchiness is very much a turn-off. The Dro-m'Athra skin looked so much better. But I doubt at this point ZOS will change it. People complained about it on the PTS, and the only change they made was making the eyes glow.Nightfighters ― PC/NA and PC/EU

✭✭✭✭✭It was made clear to Zos during PTS testing that the skin was ugly. It is kinda repulsive, but seems to be what the devs like.
The trial itself is good, but the reward is severally lacking. Lets hope the mini trial we get near the end of the year has a better skin.

Khajiit with yellowish fur: Looks kinda nice
Argonian: Not too bad
For Argonians, one nice thing about the Fabrication Sheath is that it preserves body markings, which means that on an Argonian, it preserves the type of skin texture you have. If you equip the Dro-m'Athra skin on an Argonian, your smooth-scaled lizard will go back to using the lumpy default skin texture, which is kinda jarring. I actually really like it on Dunmers. I love the contrast, I feel it works best on darker skinned characters. But yes, on lighter skin, Bretons for example, it doesn't look as good. But overall, I like the Fabrication Sheath skin the way it is.Dunmer: Weird and awkward
