    Bwahahaha... Meh. You don't need BiS gear. I use it as a way to pass time but I don't waste time on it if I have other things to do. I use Vicious Ohpidian and Hunding's rage set and still do perfectly fine

    you put up a troll face, but guess what. vigor etc can be very annoying to get if you are not a pvper and it REQUIRES to go into a pvp zone to get, and I've yet to find a guide that offered a genuine alternative to it WHILE you are leveling your pvp skill lines to the point where you can unlock vigor. or caltrops. or warhorn. you know

    also - everything in undaunted skill lines.

    mage/fighter guild lines can be annoying, but at least its mostly just time investment to get them leveled up... unless you are on a console and don't have a handy addon telling you where all the lorebooks are.

    vamp/ww skill lines can range from relatively simple to "oh to hell with this" depending on your individual social situation when it comes to getting bitten. at least leveling ww is relatively painless. leveling vamp skill line was "now that i have the achievement? never again, not even if it becomes so good that it ends up being required for some magika builds. no. hell no"

    Except that these days its much easier to obtain these skills. They reduced the ap costs of pvp abilities, and now they can be obtained just by following zergs and spamming healing springs for a few evenings. If you dont wanna kill anyone, you can also get some ap from Cyrodiil pve dailies (yes there are pve dailies ;) ) Honestly I wouldve agreed if you were talking about pre-cost nerf Vigor but these days its really easy to get. I'm a very casual pvper but I was able to get Vigor and Caltrops at lvl 20-30-something on a new character.
    Undaunted takes more time, but they also made it more accessible by adding a solo daily and a special daily for dlc dungeons. Oh, and since the latest patch they also increased the amount of points youre getting for doing them on normal difficulty. And its also important that leveling undaunted gives you an opportunity to learn your build and rotations. In this game, you cant just jump from solo questing to endgame pve content, youll get stomped (even if you get a 100% optimizd character and gear).
    Leveling werewolf can be annoying but it can be done in 1 hour or so in any public dungeon. Leveling vamp? Well, you dont even have to level it, its leveling up as you play the game. Theres no need to slot anything (unlike other skill lines) and you dont have to use any vamp abilities.

    Of course, leveling up all those skill lines takes some time, but hey, its an mmo. Why focus on 100% optimal build when you just want to play casually? You can be 100% viable in pretty much every pve instance with a set of crafted gear and regular class/weapon skills.

    have they increased the points awarded? I've been doing other stuff recently and let my undaunted dailies slide for a bit. and for the most part, I'm playing in whatever way suits me. have only started to put more thought into optimization when I started to do group content semi regularly - the thought of being a burden rather then decent contributing member of a group, when playing with people I like is.. unpleasant. I was merely commenting on the guides one finds online. and the guides one finds online overwhelmingly are geared towards absolute minmaxing, which includes requiring skill lines that are more.. involved to level.

    that said.. WW IS easy to level, main challenge depending on your personal situation is finding someone to bite you. Vamp... last i checked you do level it by slotting a vamp ability. you may not need to use it, but you do have to slot it, last I checked. and you do still need to feed every once in a while or go into next stage, which is... annoying. or it was annoying to me. too much micro managing. but nice to have for achievement and dye at least :P.

    4. Jumping from 60-80 ms to 250-300 ms (US east coast to Hong Kong) lost me 2k dps on a parse. Weaving becomes a nightmare at high ping, I agree, but it's less of an issue than you think it is. Also, the subject is finger dexterity, not rotations. Get fingering.

    pretty sure, this fits under the "playstyle of a methed up ferret. not everyone has finger dexterity. or reflexes needed. just saying :P

    If you went by those 'build for VMA' videos you could come to the conclusion you need vma gear to complete vma.
    P2P offered you 'hell yeah!' moments. F2P offers you 'thank god its over' moments.

    The way I see them:

    PvE Stambuild: Cast Hail, cast DoT go with Flurry. Change some proc sets to have the illusion of playing differently.

    PvP Stambuild: Crit rush, WB/ultimate, Executioner. Change proc sets to have the illusion of playing differently.

    PvE Magbuild: Cast WoE, cast class skill AoE dot, spam pulse, use Ultimates on cool down.
    Again, change proc sets.

    PvP Magbuild: Don't theorycraft anything please, Magsorc will always do it better.
