Maybe the gear part, if you need absolute BiS. Then again, unless you are doing those trials, you probably don't need it.

Yeah, like what is this post trying to do?

Skills are never hard to get.

Rotations aren't hard, ESPECIALLY if you have played WoW or FFXIV. Oh wait, That's right, people act like MMO's are hard.

As far as the trials... Well it makes sense to put the best PVE gear in the most challenging part. Why would you run trials if you could buy everything from a guild store?

I DO agree that it is frustrating to get the traits you want though.

Way more champion points than you'll ever get? Strange, the majority of people in my guilds, and in my pugs, are max cp. The cap is certainly not unattainable.

Also, there are no obscure skills or skill lines. Every class skill is available to every character of that class. Every weapon and guild skill is available to everybody.

You're not wrong about the gear, but don't most build sites list a "poorman's" alternative?

Uh this game has the easiest system for obtaining BiS gear.....with the exception of jewelry, which can still be reenchanted with gold enchants so the difference between blue and gold is 50 health, stam, magicka, you can farm normal of everything from dungeons or trials and with tempers upgrade to gold!

In most cases BiS or near BiS can be freaking bought. I'm looking at you necropotence, worm, Julianos and so many more. Or you can easily farm the zone it drops in.

If your meta uses war machine, MD, architect, again they can be farmed on normal which is lol and groups are looking all the time for farms.

Monster sets are arguably the hardest to get as to get the helms it requires vet completion but most of the best are easier vets.

Literally the only way you can't keep getting progressively better gear is to come here and say it's impossible to get geared :(

    Are methed-up ferrets dextrous?

    Huh. Learn something every day.

Edit: also, Alcast very thoughtfully provides less-than-BIS suggestions for gear that usually include crafted and overland sets, for his builds.

I love how elitists come out of the woodwork.

OP is mostly correct. they may not be skill lines that are not hard to open, but they ARE skill lines that can be a PAIN to level, as they don't level through xp alone.

at least lately the builds started to include gear alternatives, with cheap overworld/crafted set ups and every once in a while they even remember that not everyone has their cp maxed out and offer at least 300 cp version of the point distribution.

otherwise - a lot of these builds sound like underwear gnome plans. with step missing in the middle, where the build you can actualy use to farm those trial drops/level those skill lines that don't level through normal xp, should be

edited to add. thing that annoys me about 90% of the guides out there. listing ONLY the morphs in their skill set ups. I would say that by the time people get to the point where they know all the possible morphs from memory? they are very likely no longer in need of aforementioned guide to begin with.

P.S. I'm actualy mostly enjoying the changes. they make make it more challenging to play at the top of the skill ladder, but for a baseline player, abilities seem to be hitting harder, making it more forgiving to play while you are still figuring things out.

It is true that it is not common to find transitional builds for people who do not have immediate access to BiS or RNG gear, and do not have hundreds of CP to spend. They can be found, though.

A lot of them do not spend much time explaining why they do something, which makes me think they just do it because someone else did. They do not understand why, so they can't really explain it.

    1. Skills aren't hard to get
    2. There's plenty of alternative gear that is much easier to acquire (e.g. crafted)
    3. Get to leveling for those champion points; it's pretty much a rite of passage for gitting gud
    4. Rotations aren't hard. For actual trials play though, yeah. You should see how my fingers work while I'm doing vMA. It's all about the muscle memory; get practicing, git gud.

My wife says she can tell if I am in a difficult fight in ESO. She is downstairs in her office and I am upstairs in my library, and she'll hear a loud, long lasting set of keyboard clicks that goes on for a couple minutes. The rotations are habit now, just have to think about movement.

Its a mmorpg bro lol this isnt a pick up and master the game in a week or even a year for some.

I used to think i was elite a year ago now i look at myself a year ago and laugh to think i thought i knew everything.

Also if you are farming armor like people usually do just do it on normal it drops in blue but u can upgrade it to purple.

Are u saying normal dungeons are also too hard ?

Wait a second, things in MMOs take a long time to do and the best things often require coordinated group efforts with like minded people or grinding? This is insane. I mean, I didn't sign up for this with my ESO+ account. I feel somewhat cheated...

Truthfully, unless you are in a hardcore trials group seeking BiS gear and perfect set-ups with high CP, you should be fine completing almost all the content in the game. And in terms of the skills that require some grinding like fighters, mage, pvp, undaunted, etc. it's not hard to get those skills. It just takes some time. There are guides all over the internet.

    Vigor

you put up a troll face, but guess what. vigor etc can be very annoying to get if you are not a pvper and it REQUIRES to go into a pvp zone to get, and I've yet to find a guide that offered a genuine alternative to it WHILE you are leveling your pvp skill lines to the point where you can unlock vigor. or caltrops. or warhorn. you know

also - everything in undaunted skill lines.

mage/fighter guild lines can be annoying, but at least its mostly just time investment to get them leveled up... unless you are on a console and don't have a handy addon telling you where all the lorebooks are.

vamp/ww skill lines can range from relatively simple to "oh to hell with this" depending on your individual social situation when it comes to getting bitten. at least leveling ww is relatively painless. leveling vamp skill line was "now that i have the achievement? never again, not even if it becomes so good that it ends up being required for some magika builds. no. hell no"

not arguing any of that. but in general when players, especially newer players are searching for some guidance, they at the point of needing something to start with. Allcast builds are the only ones that come anywhere close to providing some of those guidlines. the rest of the builds seem to be designed with long term experienced players in mind and yeah... not helpful to someone who might just be trying to figure out the game. there are nearly no "transitional/newer/average player with average reflexes" builds out there. which seems to me the point OP is making.

    Because there is no alternative.

Just like there's no alternative for those PvP players that need to spend hundreds of hours grinding dungeons for BSW, SPC, WC, etc., and hundreds of hours doing daily pledges for those Impen monster shoulders.
