Have they confirmed having dropped dual core anywhere? Perhaps your hardware is the problem. Are all your drivers current? Etc.
from the support emails
"Your card only has two cores, the requirement for the AMD side of CPU's is four cores."
"It seems like your CPU is out of date and is not compatible with the Morrowind release. I am sorry if this was not the news to hear but we are unable to provide technical support for unsupported CPU's."
Yes, all drivers up to date.

Can you post a screenshot of that support reply, without revealing your personal info? I'd be very interested in verifying this, as I'm having a very hard time believing any support service would word it that way.
People have been telling you over and over dualcore is still supported and that it has not been dropped. It is a problem on your end with your system. I have a quadcore laptop and game plays just fine on 64bit

Support claims that they dropped dual core, but I still can't find any announcements about it.
Odd since that page shows it was updated just last month and @Kiwi noted in a page above that they played ESO on a dual core today.
The one things about first level of support is they are generally not very knowledgeable and that is fairly normal with and help desk situation. Try asking for a supervisor or tier two for better clarification. It is worth asking.
I assume you have repaired. The issue also could have to do with corruption on your PC. Files get messed up overtime and whatever and I am guessing you have had that PC for a long time.
Yea, they drop AMD dual cores according to support, but even now, specifically searching for it, can't find any mention of it anywhere.
PC has been reinstalled a few times since bought. I doubt a windows installation could last 7 years XD

Thank you. This is appalling, but now that I consider they hire out their customer support, it's starting to make sense that such an email would appear as unprofessional as it does.
@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom
This is a rather shocking move, to exclude all dual core processors on the AMD side of the line.

Shouldn't this have been posted as a sticky on the general forum where word gets around fastest to your playerbase, which I assume is the entire point of news posts in the first place?
This screams the DirectX scuff all over again.
Whether this is a gross miscommunication from an employee of the company, or legitimate, it's just beyond disappointing.

There are many out there (OP excluded) that expect graphically/CPU/RAM intense games to run on their potato when that is not realistic
I thought I had more time, so kept frittering my wealth on luxuries such as food and shoes. Looking to upgrade to https://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-FD8300WMHKBOX-CPU-Desktop-Processor-x/dp/B00TR8YL4W/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1497154685&sr=8-3&keywords=AMD+FX-8300+Eight-Core but will take a couple of months to get the cash
This is the official discussion thread for the blog article PC/Mac System Requirements for ESO: Morrowind. With Morrowind launching in just a few weeks, we want to make sure you'll be ready to dive straight into the action. Please note that we aren't changing any of the requirements at this time from what's currently needed, but merely clarifying exactly what's necessary to play.
Might be the video card playing up, does it support dx11? before upgrading my pc i had an old dual core and nvidia 600 series card and ESO ran ok on low settings but at 32 bit. I think ESO is now only 64bit but could be wrong.

They either dropped dual core on AMD a long time back, or they did make a change with Morrowind that did not make it into the comments that Gina made.

It has both 32 and 64bit applications.
I doubt they dropped support on AMD dual cores. Looking at another thread here made by the OP as well. The requirements he quotes here is not the same as the requirements that came out AFTER the Thieves Guild update. So either it's been doing it this whole time or the OP's just now coming back to the game.
