Nightblade heal help

BuyMe500Pugs_Please
I see everyone use some heal thing it's yellow sort of like a templar heal but it isn't because I have seen it usually on nightblades, sort of a burst animation and a circle around the player for a few seconds. What is this? I only use swallow soul to get health, it works fine and I haven't struggled at all so far other than trying to solo some world bosses (Ended badly) I'm level 29, just curious to know is it a siphoning attack I haven't unlocked or another skill?

Based on your description, my best guesses are:
    - vigor from PVP skill line
    - healing ward from the restoration staff skill line

Thanks I'll try both, any idea how to get the pvp thing? I haven't done that yet it said something about pvp at level 10 before but that was a while ago and I cannot remember

Yeah, click "Campaigns" from your pause menu. Read the descriptions to find which one may interest you. Then click join. After you join click "enter campaign" and a timer will pop up giving you one minute to accept entrance into the campaign.

Then you'll meet some NPCs who will explain a bunch of PVP things to you.

To unlock Vigor, you'll want to gain enough Alliance Points to rank up your skill line to unlock it. The easiest thing to do is grab a Restoration Staff or other healing skills, and follow a big group while healing players during battle.

Rend is also fantastic for boss fights with a sustained heal, plus good DoT. Killer's blade is actually my main heal, it's not sustained per se but in mowing through mobs with good timing (especially while solo) the healing can be near constant.

Just a side note here: Vigor is a stamina based heal. Since you talked about using Swallow Soul, I'm assuming you are magicka based. If this is the case, the Restoration Staff skills will be a better option for heals.

Although, if you are using primarily magicka, then you'll have enough stamina to use vigor since you're not using any other stamina moves. You'll only need to use it once since it's a heal over time. I find that it's best to use a variety of magicka and stamina moves while gearing more toward one side. Half of my moves are magicka but I am a stamina player. I have vigor as a main heal but if my stamina is low, I also have hardened armor and green dragon blood.

Except Vigor scales off of max stamina. Using Vigor on a magicka character would give you insanely weak heals, for almost a quarter of your maximum stamina.

Unlike stamina characters that don't care at all about magicka as they only use magicka for buff skills, magicka characters still rely on stamina to break free, block or roll dodge.

Don't forget, Siphoning strikes was changed to grant hp per light attack as well, so weaving will net your increased hp gains.

I use both siphoning strikes, just morphed it can't remember which I chose and swallow soul. They have been effective so far and haven't had any pve trouble really. Also if I'm in need of a prayer fighting a tough boss or a swarm of them I use soul tether and that's worked everytime so far

don't forget the bloodthirst morph for flurry if you are dual-wielding as the final hit restores up to 60% of the damage done as health.
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

The health return on bloodthirst is maybe 600-800 per (just a guess, I'm at work). Better off slotting vigor/execute/mark target. Health absolutely rolls in that way
