Hey, I didn't even get my TRACKING NUMBER yet from the Bethesda Store and I preordered back in February.

I hope mine isn't late AND broken...

Be sure to check for a coating of dust too (or what I'm hoping is dust), as I had that on my statue as well.

Many people who ordered the Physical CE, myself included, are reporting that the right leg of the statue comes broken in packaging. What will ZoS do to address this problem?

    @ZosGinaBruno

Was it ordered from zos or another site? I got mine intact from the main site here, my friend ordered from Amazon and his is broken

Mine isn't broken. I had myself convinced that I could hear it rattling around in there, loose.

Nice looking Statue though. I am sure they will offer refunds.

You do get that they don't make the statues at ZoS right?

Three companies in China produce these type of Collectors models and two others in the U.S. usually does the packaging.

It still falls on ZOS to ensure that the products they are selling meet QA standards.

Nope they see the finished proof of concept model it goes to China then to the U.S. packaging center, then to the distro center it's impractical for them to send a QA person to these places, so they offer a refund if there is damage Which is all the FTC really requires.

My statue also had a small coating of what I'm guessing to be dust all over it. Like a very fine white powder all over it.

It's either a chemical reaction between the base material and the paint, or deterioration of the base material from uneven climate control. In some rare cases, it's because the manufacturer added chalk to the plastic to increase its quantity while lowering costs, referred to as 'stretching' the raw material.

In any case, it's not toxic, but it also usually takes years, not months, to develop. The best thing to do is keep the statue as climate-controlled as possible and out of direct sunlight.

How hard is it include bubblewrap when you ship somthing?

A 5 year old could figure out how to package these better then ZOS.

They do look cool tho, even if skuffed and broken.

Since apparently several people are having issues, maybe it would be a better idea to send this straight to your distributers so that they can adjust the packaging to prevent it in the future.

But, any self respecting company selling a product would want to do that, rather than send the customer straight to the retailer.

If you can't afford QA, you cant afford to produce a product. Most companies that manufacture in China have QA people representing at the plant overseeing day to day issues.

huh... when I opened mine in the morning, I was just genuinely happy becasue it looks super detailed and badass, now I'm feeling lucky for having gotten intact copy... I wonder if it has something to do with a faulty batch at the factory, or maybe even yeah, distribution center somewhere dropping a bunch of boxes and hoping no one notices...

Yeah if they're going to keep doing these statues they need to be packing them better.

Considering the statue is secured in a few places by twisty ties, in a molded rest, in a collectors box then in another box, I don't see how

Could the problem be the actual resin for some of them? Or some of the statues are broken but still packed anyway?

On mine the comb on his head was half broken off. I actually don't mind too much and I will most likely cut the rest off and paint that little white 'breakline'.

Love the beefiness of the statue.

Seeing the breaks in the pictures here the pallet in transport could have been dropped. Hope you guys get that resolved.

Most likely a disgruntled worker was snapping them in the factory. Mine wasn't damaged but sucks ass they ship stuff out like this. Padding was most likely an additional cost to zos...one we shouldn't be surprised they wouldn't cover.

Did you guys expect anything more from Zo$? Really ? It's Zo$ we're talking about here.

Plus, I don't see any point in blaming the Chinese. Almost everything is made there nowadays and as previous commentors have said... why no QA people from Zo$s' side?

But I don't know why anyone uses resin or other heavy, brittle materials anymore. They could use a collector-grade vinyl and just rotocast it. Keep all the details and paint applications but at a fraction of the cost and weight. Vinyl also won't break if it falls off a shelf. Or kill a small animal...

I agree with you, but if something doesn't have a good "feel" to it, meaning it doesn't weigh a tonne, people will actually think it is cheap junk, even if the opposite is true and it is a better quality/more resilient material.

It seems to be bad design on Zos end. While they may not actually make and ship them, they do design and pick out the box and how they will be shipped. Including the foam used or not used.

Considering this is not the first time this happened it's kind of hard to shift the blame.

Well since this seems to be the thread of the week for this issue, I'll ask here. I see pics of various statues. What exactly are these things supposed to look like? Mine doesn't look anything close to that shiny gold color, it's sticky, has black stuff all over it, and smells like petroleum products. Fortunately it's also in one piece, although it falls over at the slightest hint of any kind of nudge, whether it be me touching the front or something vibrating the shelf.

Man, So many people in this thread have no idea how production and distribution work. ZoS has absolutely nothing to do with the problem people are having with the statue. The only way they could sort of be responsible, is if they knowingly hired a manufacturer that has a reputation for making a pos product.

Unfortunately, most retailers were already sold out of the collectors editions before the release. For example Amazon was already sold out when i called to try and have it replace. The told me that they do not carry the item anymore and so they would happily refund me but that doesn't solve the problem of me, ordering the item 3 months in advance and not having the item i desired. It took over an hour and asking for supervisor to finally have a solution where they credited my account with the difference to buy one listed from a third party reseller on their site. I am now stuck waiting for the replacement, and had i not also preordered the digital upgrade, i would have no means to play until that replacement would arrive. I was truly disappointed with how the situation was handled, even though it was through amazon, the damage was internal and no damage was present on the shipping box or on the product box that would have indicated any mishandling leading to the broken statue. With the number of people reporting this issue, especially with the right leg, i would not consider this an isolated incident anymore. No one should have to go through this much trouble just to get the item they ordered months ago. Plus we are not talking about the standard edition but rather a collectors edition, purchased by customers that went above and beyond to support product/game that are then forced to have to wait for a replacement, if a replacement is even possible from the retailer.

On another note, there is also the issue of the misleading size of the map included in the actual collectors edition, vs the promotional picture that was used on the website showing the contents of the collectors edition. The actual one appears to be approximately 1/4 the size of the map pictured in the promotional image.

I got an email back from amazon and they basically said the same thing. The best I'm able to get out of it is a 30% refund. I'll probably go ahead and take that and then super glue the thing back together...

Looks like if your statue is broken you can't get a replacement. At least if you got it through amazon.
