And there was nothing, and I mean NOTHING anyone could have possibly done. There was literally no conceivable way the poster or his starchy allies could have:
- Cast major expedition
- Thrown down AOE heals
- Cast stone giant on the guy with the ulti and walked away
- Cast a damage shield
- Used talons, encase, caltrops or fossilize on the caster and moved
- Killed the guy in center of the red circle
- Roll dodged
You are aware that in any organized push, 3 or 4 people drop them at the same time right plus CC.
4 x 10k tick plus VD/Sap/Anything else = GG.
Lol at major expedition btw.
You are aware that any organized push of 4 people or more dropping damage ults at the same time (4 dawnbreakers for example) will kill you... It isn't like this is unique to eye of the flame. Organized groups have been dropping ults simultaneously to drop bigger groups for ages...
You are aware that four dawnbreakers for example hit in one place and don't get dragged through a whole keep? Nobody denies what you say but don't pretend that there's no difference at all.
If there is a pain train inside your keep rolling around, you have bigger problems than the destro ult. For instance, your biggest problem is: you're losing already.
Actually... no. More often then not the bus doesn't stop to take the keep/outpost ... How could they? It would mean to split up to take 2 seperate flags. In my experience a bus doesn't split. ressources are taken occasionally (easy with one flag only) - but even ressources are not always taken.
So no, just bc a bus is annoying ppl it doesn#t mean one is loosing anything else but patience.Elsterchen wrote: »Elsterchen wrote: »Chilly-McFreeze wrote: »ALERT! someone died in Cyrodiil...

I do kick off my AOE heals and healing ultimate. I can heal through damn near anything, but not 4 or 5 flamers simultaneously.
Granted, but that isn't really down to the skill, it is the organization of your enemies. Last year this was still true, just take out the words "eye of flame" and replace with "Ice Comet".
Organized groups coordinating CC and ults are going to wreck pugs and zergs of solo players. It's by design, I guess you could say. I just feel like these sorts of threads come down to "good tactics are beating bad tactics, plz nerf". That isn't a recipe for long term success for ESO.
The fact is, Cyrodiil is for big AvA battles. ZOS came out and said so on day 1, but people still feel bad when they can't go out there solo and derp about be successful. That just isn't how army vs. army PvP is ever going to work. Nerf destro ulti, and it will be Proxy Det. Nerf Proxy, and it will be ice comet with synchronized dragon leaps. The bottom line is, big, organized, theory crafted groups beat unorganized or inexperienced groups in Cyrodiil and that just isn't going to change (hopefully) because it isn't a bug...it's a feature.

In 2+ years of playing in Cyrodiil the only Ult's I've seen coordinated groups use to such effect are EoTS and Batswarm. I could count on one hand the amount of times I got killed by coordinated Ice Comets. All you have to do is block and you can live through 5-6 hitting you at the same time, then just one dodgeroll and you're out of the small AOE.

If the Destro Ult, specifically EoTS, had been released the way it was originally designed on PTS it would have been useless in Cyrodiil for the most part since the DPS would have been about the same as BatSwarm but without any secondary effects like heals. What I remember from the comments on it during that PTS cycle is that most players were not happy because they wanted a strong single target ult for Destruction Staves. But of course the "fix" implemented by the Devs was not what people were asking for and so what we got was an AOE ult that is completely OP when used by coordinated groups.

@ZOS_RichLambert Please implement an eye of the storm stack limit.
No more than 2x ultimates can be used in one place.
If more than 2x eye of the storm are active in one place, only the first 2 ultimates will damage enemies.
I know my suggestion isn't perfect but it may solve this balance issue without nerfing the ultimate ability's base damage further.
Thanks
