people say this because all the dps tests were done on pts. actually it got a massive buff day 1 of release on pc. its very bad compared to every other class, but not lower than nightblade.
The sad part is I am probably the most devoted player on this game rn to creating a way for Magicka Warden put out viable DPS. Just need to wait for June 6th so I can permanently main the class
All of this is "IMO" but also based upon my own experience and observations. Now, I don't do 'end game' content or PvP, so I don't care about min/maxing or 'competing' with anyone else.

In this thread you will find a few parses, all but one of which were completed with only ele drain and synergies to proc my set bonus. No raid buffs at all.
Again, I understand these numbers aren't the best, but they're not as disgustingly awful as a lot of folks seem to think this class can achieve. Do I think this class needs some love from the devs? Absolutely. But I also feel that others shouldn't be so quick to dismiss it, even in its current state.
Edit - Magicka Warden to the player base:

The skills are really resource heavy and mostly damage lacking. Also unlike the Templar, the Warden skills "cooldown" times don't sync and are all over the place. Makes for an interesting adhoc rotation.

I just rolled a magplar last week so only lvl 30, but have played NB and Sorc for year+...What I find fund about the templar is the pace in part because the rotations do seem to meld quite well.
