Dear ZOS, please refund Crown bought riding lessons should we delete a character!

As the title says, i would like it if ZOS would refund any and all riding lesson (speed/stam/bag space) bought with crowns should we decide to delete an older charcter to make a new character. After all these are bought and paid for by us so they should never actually disappear for good!

Hm, I kinda don't agree. deleting a character is your choice alone. you could always just buy a character slot

Not if you've used them already. As Misa said, if you're going to delete the character you used them on, that's your choice. But you shouldn't be able to extract them and use them again. What would people say if you got back all the XP scrolls you'd used on a deleted character?

I understand where you are coming from (i have actually bought 2 extra slots) but as i have said these are already paid for by us so they should never disappear. They should be refunded and kept in the same place as your costumes (forgot the name of the tab :() so they can be used by a new chatacter or another non-deleted character. Now that i am thinking about it, any crown bough motifs should work the same way. Mistakes happen and people might also wish to switch factions meaning for some they may need to delete a character in order to make a new one.

So is food! Both ingame and in real life. I'm pretty sure they would qualify as a consumable item, which is why they give you more than 1 of them.

Yes the xp scrolls are another valid reason but their is no restriction on how many xp pots you can purchase in game and we also have plenty of events that offer extra xp bonuses. With mount training we have restrictions in game that limit us to 1 point per day... Making mount training quite tedious on new characters unless of course you have loads of crowns to purchase ridind lessons!!

Hate to be 'that guy' but those riding lessons are consumable single use items. The lessons can be used on any character - I have many in the bank waiting to be used and I have 'lost' a few because of deleting characters. Knowing that the already consumed lessons were ... consumed .. I fully understood that I would not get them back.

Those lessons weren't wasted. They tasted fine after they cut up your old horse after it's owner was deleted and it went to the glue factory.

All my characters have maxed the horse riding skills. When I buy the two new slots, will they immediately have all the riding skills maxed out? How exactly would that work? Any new characters I make will never have to learn "riding skills"?

How can you make a "each character" skill be "account wide"?

The previous system was the mount was trained - so if you purchased a new mount, that had to be trained up. However any char could use an already fully trained mount.

lol kidding right? Admit you made this thread as a way to ententain us and it's only a joke. :)

Why would you get your crown back and in what paying crows makes any different than a player paying 250g per lesson and not having them refound? It's your own chocie to use real money lessons, no one is forcing you, if you want the fastest way to lvl ridding well, that's enough priveleges, while being at it, let's ask for a refound for all the gears and legendary items we spent on that toon and time spent lvling the toon you deleted, yeah that could be cool, all the ambrosia or scroll used, and all the gold used if you respected skills and charact. points, yep a total refound would be cool, and also if ESO Plus member, let's get a refound for the time we been lvling it.. and hey, let's get crown refound for all the crappy crates we get when we buy them with crowns :) dude, you'Re a genious :)

Ok, i'm pushing a bit too much :P But on my own opinion, deleting a character is someone's choice and part of the process, no refound or anything, deal with it. :)

You also had to buy a separate horse for each of your characters and, if you wanted a "fast" horse, or the "stamina" horse, or the "inventory" horse, you had to buy additional horses and, iirc additional stable slots with gold for more than one mount if you wanted the different abilities in the previous system. One for speed, stamina, inventory. And each horse had to be "fed" every day to max those stats. Still not immediately account wide. Afaik the "all characters can access the same mount" didn't start until the crown store mounts.

No......You did get the benefit of the riding lessons as long as that char was alive after all. You decided you wanted an open char slot it was your choice. Do I think that the riding thing takes to long and all that sure do, but getting back cash paid after the service has been used is just silly. BTW I deleted one of my chars to have room and absolutely hate that I am going to have to go through the pain of training a horse again. Still I did choose to delete the one char. Yes and it had fully trained up mount skill and everything.

I would actually be very happy if ZOS would allow us to purchase 10 mount training points per day... Then leveling up mounts for alt characters would not seem so tedious.

I wish - I have deleted toons with full bags...full training...even level 50 with vet levels (back in the day)...

Can I get a refund on my time invested too? I mean, just let me pick a class and have it auto-magically boosted with all the previous toons bags/training?!

Actually i made this thread out of frustration of having to level up mount training from scratch again on a new character i am thinking of making. The reason i am doing this is because i want to play a certain class in my current faction. I have that class in my old faction but since ZOS does not allow us to faction swap we very limited options if we have used up all character slots. Thus i was just thinking of the crowns i spent on riding lessons for the character i need to delete (in fact i have spent at least 2k crowns on every character for riding lessons). I was just not looking forward to doing this again :(.

We all get your frustration - we've all been there with this or other parts of the game. I get you want everything done immediately, but honestly there is no need to spend crowns on horse training. There is an option, in game, to train your horse with gold. The only reason to use crowns is if you're powerleveling your character. If you made a mistake and no longer want this character, it's on you - not ZOS.

Plan very carefully how you spend crowns - they are expensive! Hopefully this expensive and frustrating lesson has taught you something. I know I will you use your post as an example of what NOT to do. (I mean that in a good way, I hope you can see that).

You can be at 155% mount speed your first day in Cyrodiil, having spent zero points.

Rapids is available as soon as you finish the Cyro tutorial. You can get the other 15% from Cyrodiil's Ward 3 pc...

You'll have to play a bit more cautiously until you level the horse up, but wouldn't you have to do so anyway?

You're on the same ground as any other new character that doesn't crown level their mount. It's not that dire or necessary.

You've already gotten your money's worth out of the lessons you bought. Opt to do the same again, or level as everyone else has to.
