When Is Cyrodil's Performance Going to Be Fixed?

It will never be fixed, don't you get it?

They already blew the budget on the current setup/config, now they are just milking the game, there will never be a fix, it is what it is and nothing we say or do will ever change it.

I'm sorry that you have that attitude :-(

    Cyrodiil performance?

It's fun to be optimistic. However, I believe this situation calls for some honestly.

Cyrodiil will never be fixed. This isn't me being a downer either. I'm just being totally realistic. Even 12-man PvE struggles with lag. Large battles have no chance.

You can thank the bad game performance on a patch that implemented improved lighting which also simultaneously enacted anti-botting measures.

Exactly, those anti-bot measures need to be removed so performance can be restored

I wasn't here for the time before those changes were implemented. I started at PS4 launch.

From what I can tell, you can still find tons of bots roaming around grabbing resources, grinding mats/exp with Heavy Attacks or by certain add pull pattern curcles, afking at dolmens, etc. I have seen large groups of these accounts.

Whatever measures they put in that they felt were so important game performance needed to be sacrificed, truly need some reworked or removed.

Do whatever needs to be done where the game can still function correctly in high stress situations.

Aye, that's what I think is what really needs to happen.

Just remove the automatic anti-bot measures so that performance can be restored.

Those of us on consoles can then experience no lag in cities at peak times and LARGE scale battles in Cyrodil

By that logic (and it is very sound, reasonable logic) humans should fix everything that is broken.
Sadly, there is no profit in permanent resolutions, only persistent problems.
Welcome to the sad state of human affairs.

We dont play games for profit, we play them for fun.
But money doesnt grow on trees, and Z0$ is in this for profit, nothing more.
Once the game loses its profitability and goes negative, the game will vanish, like all MMO's before.
Z0$ is only worth a hair under $80 million anyway, according to this report, (which we have no idea when it was taken or the reliability of the value) but if true would indicate that theyre literally scraping by.
Compare that to say, Activision/Blizzard, which shows a current market-cap value of over 42 billion.

They simply do not have the funds to make anything happen on a grand AAA scale, and are not likely to do so.

Now if they were bought out by another, more experienced and successful venture capitalist entity, its possible you might see changes.
    Might.

But if that new content is plagued by lag and other unsolved issues, it doesn't show the game in the greatest light.

That's why it's important to fix the broken parts of the game before focusing on new stuff
