For those of you who are playing on the PTS (i got an invite but havent had any time to come in and test), are you finding heavy armor still to be the meta in PvP over Light/Medium, or do all the sustain changes level the playing field / make light and medium better?

I feel like everyone has such varying opinions on this
my thing with heavy is that i am not sure if the constitution nerf is gonna make it imposisble to maintain resources.
but with light, youre paper thin. so im worried about just getting totally trucked while in light armor.
but im just tryna get a rough idea of what i should do before i buy gear in morrowind.
Medium/light for me, but it takes more skill then heavy, as it always has.
Well, then nothing really changes with the next update. I have to keep heavy armor with my MagDK, while Sorcs can run optimal setups with continued ease-of-use.Dottzgaming wrote: »so 1 vote light 1 vote heavy

It all depends. Are you playing a class with all melee skills with no mobility/shields? You're stuck with heavy. Are you playing a class with ranged nukes, shields that are double your effective health, and mobility? You can use light.

I play light with good results: Amberplasm + Shacklebreaker.

Wear 5 seducer and you'll be fine. I can't say much cuz of NDA but resources management isn't as bad as people think in certain no cp PvP small scale fights

This is exactly what made me so angry. How do you go and nerf sustain with the expected intention being hitting those wearing heavy armor, tanking with full damage capabilities and never running out of resources then add this exact new mechanic into the mix.
-Increase resource return from heavy
-25% resource return for heavy attacks in heavy
-CP Star for increased% return from heavy attack
-30% from Resto heavy attack...
I haven't seen the maxed return on a single Resto heavy on PTS but i can imagine it reaches around 6-7k Magicka back with all those scaling %s, maybe more... So we've recreated a game where heavy armor can still sustain easily, have large resistances, and competitive damage to light/medium armor. Absurd.

It's practically there now,. I know on live in HA one heavy attack can net me over 4k.

If you decided to start theorycrafting, be prepared to shell out a lot of gold on builds that don't work. Not every build that works on paper makes the cut. But the paper theory helps: http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildEditor

yeah trust me ive encountered that lol. so many of the "good ideas" i had ended up being horrible
I think just based on the issues with regen people are expecting, i might try light. with heavy getting nerfed alot and regen in general taking a big hit, i think i might just have to go light
