If I need some inspiration for a new build I always go to tamrielfoundry or alcast's site.

I've watched videos of them all and then go do my own thing. I have played around with a lot of gear for my khajiit magica sorc and right now we are doing pretty well for what I want to do by running pets with necropotence and soulshine gear. Not bis but it works for me.

Deltia was a really good friend and guildmate of mine. We miss him a lot. Not only is he one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, he is also a pretty good and smart player. I've always made my own builds, but theory crafting stuff with him was really fun. He's a great guy. He also had access to some of the best theory crafters ingame, and he pulled a lot of his information from them and things he would test with them (for example, Gilliam). Sad to see people hate on a guy that only ever wanted to make ESO a better place for us all. I'm not saying I'm a fan of all his builds, but he did give a lot of players a good place to start

I'd love to hear why as well! I know some people take pride in making their own, while others (like myself) use Deltia's builds as they're decent and straight-forward.

I should have voted "other". I used Deltia's builds, (and others), as a guide and then alter it to fit my play style. After 2+ years, only my magic Sorcerer still vaguely looks like a Deltia build.

I like Deltia and am sorry he will no longer be covering ESO. His guides for leveling things like crafts and builds for newer people were terrific. Plus he's an enjoyable guy who made watching his videos and streams fun. Plus he's a US military veteran, and as a vet myself, I respect him.

That being said, I go my own way in life and in the game. I often do things with my builds that people in the forums say isn't good. For example, my main is a Redguard stamina Templar DPS. To prepare for Morrowind, I have resurrected the Engine Guardian set and paired it with 5 Spriggans, Leki gold jewelry, dual wield front bar and replacing my bow back bar with a lightning staff. Yes, I know all the arguments against such a build, but want to see what sustain is like with it, and I don't want to deal with the relatively slow heavy attack of the bow, even though ZOS says they are speeding up heavy attack animations for all weapons.

I'm going for the highest max stamina I can manage to get with the best possible sustain. I've been watching some interesting videos about Morrowind CP choices by people who are not the best known ESO vid/stream elites. Getting some good ideas of how to spend my 630 CP points.

never even heard of the guy. I like player guides as much as the next but i hate templates. Go out make your own!!

I like to look at others builds and see how they work. Sometimes I find something in the build I hadnt thought of before.

Who is Deltia?

I check out some builds but most of them use BIS gear and that means access to difficult trials. Also, I don't find people who wanna farm vCOA or vCOH.

Thus, I use the same build for all my 12 characters and they use a specific monster helm depending of class (all of them fill the DPS role).
