PTS balance experiment?

What if instead of running a rushed PTS to push a dlc through, ZOS ran a three month PTS to rebalance the abilities and classes? Or an experiment long enough to allow players to test, poll feedback, fine tune, re-test, feedback, etc?

I can't help but think that a lot of the player frustration stems from making changes then not really testing and examine them on the PTS. I'm sure ZOS considers them, but I'm also sure they're designating a mass majority of their resources to the new DLCs. If balance got more focus, maybe we wouldn't have all these ham-handed stab in the dark changes.

Just an idea.

Playerbase has always asked for more time to test. Not going to happen, imho.

I surely do not know what makes them rush, but since ever its not what players want... it doesn't seem to matter.

Wishful thinking: Make small changes on a 1-2 week basis, observe Cause / Effect / Player Feedback, iterate.
Current approach is more like: Make crapton of changes once every 6 months, ???, Profit?

Because they don't actually care what we think about the changes. The combat team has its own ideas and agenda for "balance" and their own voices are the only ones they want to hear.

PTS exists for two reasons: so we can try out cash store items in the hope we'll be inspires to spend money on them in live, and to QA new graphics, audio, NPCs and quests. Our actual opinions on the changes are irrelevant to Zeni.

At the risk of being accused of being stupid.. this isnt going to happen. ZoS relies on their internal numbers MASSIVELY more than feedback. They need players doing things to get those numbers. They need LOTS of players doing those things. The PTS, even the part that is open pretty much all the time, gets few players compared to the main game. So, ZoS will discount the results from the PTS. It is used to locate bugs, which they prioritize in fixing.. Easy quick ones, game breaking ones, QoL ones, etc.

ZoS gets their REAL numbers to determine skills when they dump it on live server and then collect data for a few weeks/months. THEN they talk about changes.

You have a nice dream. Sorry to disturb it with "reality".

Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.
