@jakeedmundson I understand. Sadly, there's a long history of this with ESO, and many that were die hard supporters at one time found it harder and harder to defend the game's actions.jakeedmundson wrote: »Merlin13KAGL wrote: »By waiting to see what the final result ends up being, and downloading other games on standby, in case it ends up being the train wreck I suspect it's headed towards.
Been looking at other games/going back to D3. The only reason i even stayed this long is because of the limited console options. They cornered the market for now. (and yes i've tried neverwinter - not for me i guess)
I love playing eso... but im having a hard time with some of the things they've been doing (or not doing) lately.
Have to buy this "expansion" when we were told 4 DLCs/year come with plus membership - that changed quick.
"balance" issues are getting ridiculous.
- the race nerfs with this patch especially P me off... i just bought a race change token and switched to redguard. Potential waste of money?
- the unnecessary stamina nerfs the past two patches - half of my character list is worthless in trials.
Major bugs/exploits not getting attention
- group finder
- vmol/vma/cyrodiil lag and DCs
- vma's horrible drop system
- the knock back issues in cyrodiil where someones skill use from the ground makes you fall through the keeps floors and die to fall damage.
Above all else.... the focus on the worthless idea of housing and crown crate gambling. Add some REAL content to the game. We get ONE trial and MAYBE 2 dungeons a year??? JUST with subscription costs thats not enough.. but now we have to BUY that content on top of the sub? If you sub, you're already paying $180/year + buying any crowns + the base game purchase you made to start.... that's more than enough to fix some damn bugs that have been around for years and get some balance between classes.
TLDR.... i don't really know how to "get ready" for this patch. Deciding on whether or not this will be worth my time/money investment.

Regarding other things, it's a complete gamble, this "getting ready" because you're playing the odds on what will be viable and what will not, whether that's gear, class, skills, whatever.
So best advice I can offer is to just keep playing on live as you are right now, and hope the end result is salvageable enough to warrant continued play. If it's not (immediately), hopefully it will be somewhere a little down the line.
It wouldn't be the first time several people had taken a hiatus from the game, people that played dedicatedly for a long, long time.
