From our experience, the first 1 or 2 pts patches don't really take feedback into account. They're usually already done before that.
Yeah, but Gina already promised some "tweaks". So we'll see.ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »We always welcome feedback, and everyone is reading even if you don't see a public reply. We do have some tweaks coming to next week's PTS incremental, but please don't expect to see a complete 180 on some of the gameplay-related changes. I think 1 patchnote will be "Potions now restore ressources based on your level. This will be a buff if you had less than 10k max magicka or stamina and a nerf if you had more"

Fixed. And, yes, that's how creative vision works. Until empirical evidence is presented that the forum-lurkers are leaving the game in DROVES, they won't care, nor should they.
So much of this outrage is just a fart in the wind. No one's even talking about it on Reddit anymore. Instead, they're looking for workarounds and new builds, which is the trend for people experienced in MMORPGs and patches. WoW completely guts and redoes their mechanics EVERY YEAR. ZoS hasn't done a change this dramatic (could even be more dramatic, really--like a resource overhaul) since the removal of Vet ranks.

As a dunmer racist, I have to disagree. Altmer are far inferior, though not as much of a beast race as men.

That's like insulting your parents. Lowly Dunmer wouldn't even exist without the glorious Altmer.
You're impure, sullied by a daedric prince. Please, don't feel proud for the wrong things.

That's like asking for evidence that god doesn't exist. Your average casual will try the game, play the storyline, and then silently stop playing. If people are forced out because casuals find that the combat isn't interesting or they can't do what they want to do or play how they want to play, that will be a silent attrition over months. There will be zero feedback and more changes will be made to end-game that the average casual will never see.
Maybe that's a "good" thing in zeni's eyes. More people dropping silently = more people buying a copy of the game and then not being a burden anymore. But as a player who doesn't care so much about vet trials, this patch hurts my ability to have fun in normal dungeons and solo play.
Essentially, these changes are making the game less forgiving and making it harder for casual players to tinker with builds until they find something that works for them. The PTS sustain punishes players for experimenting with anything besides heavy attacks and without that build customization and tinkering, players will buy the game, run the storyline, and leave.
There will never be any evidence that shows that process, but by the time it has run its course, end-game will be super segregated because there won't be any players interested in making the leap from main story questing up to vet trials, which means that that work-around knowledge will be further isolated from the general base.
Heavy attacks now use stamina AND magicka
I got you
- Seducer; reduced the cost reduction of this set to 2% down from 8%.
- Magnus; reduced the chance to 2% down from 8%.
- Alteration Mastery; reduced the cost reduction of this set to 1% down from 6%.
- Cost Reduction & Magicka/Stamina Regeneration Gylphs; Decreased the potency of these glyphs by approximately 80%.
This will be a buff if your magicka regeneration is below 200 and a nerf otherwise- The resources gained from Heavy Attacking has been reduced by approximately 70%.
- Added Magicka Resource Drains to each of the other trials.
- Fixed Necrotic Orb synergy having no cooldown.
- Added a new buff category called "Minor Uninstall" and "Major Uninstall".
This new buff category is multiplicative with each other
I'm just having fun.

Actually, that's not quite true. The Dunmer wouldn't exist without the ALDmer. Also, the Altmer wouldn't exist without the ALDmer.
High elves, pssht. So static...in culture and in thinking.

This is a buff if you enjoy playing a cardboard box
Heavy attacks will now cost 3500 magic or stamina depending on the highest stat on Monday's Wednesday and Friday and the lowest stat on the weekends and alternating Tuesday's and Thursday's.
Oh or this
Heavy attacks now drains stamina and magicka instead restoring it.
Developer commentThis will be a nerf.
