I am jaded and cynical anyway and not in the least surprised that a commercial concern would opt for making money over providing a decent experience. We've been led like lambs along this path, saying to each other, 'Oh well, a cash shop isn't so bad. Other MMOs have them. As long as there's no p2w things, it'll be fine.' And it was, just a few nice costumes and pets, great! Then experience scrolls, potions, soul gems and riding lessons and motifs that it took the rest of us upwards of a year to find, but still its not really ptw.
I understand Deltia's angst, the game is entirely different than at launch, a great deal of the changes have been for the better, but there is this encroaching, stealthy p2w creeping into things now. I am playing a healer for the first time and looking at sets, realised the best one is not crafted (I was under the impression that all crafted sets were superior) but dropped. From a dungeon. That you have to buy a DLC for. I'm subbed and have been since launch, so that's not a problem to me, but I have also spent years levelling up my crafter and what for? Let's face it, ZoS aren't making any money if I can craft something that's better than something people have to pay cash for. ZoS want people to buy Morrowind so they make the new class superior by nerfing others.
I will continue subbing and playing for now, because I am not an elite and bumble through just doing whatever, I am a scrub and no right minded group would take me into a trial anyway because I don't have the right set. The set that drops from the DLC dungeon. So there is your p2w, unless you run a particular set you cannot get into a trial so you must buy the DLC to farm the set to do the trial to get the stuff to PvP with. Like I said, stealth p2w.
TL:DR
I don't want to support the game but I want all the content.

I think you're missing the huge difference in the level of dedication to the game vs the previous three years' worth.rager82b14_ESO wrote: »I am not having fun with the game, but I am still going to keep playing because I lack good willpower. Give credit where credit is due.
Good for him, already unsubscribed his channel.
So your unsubbing his channel just because he doesn't play ESO anymore? You do realize he probably won't even talk about the ESO anymore at all right?
Your supposed to support the person not the game. I'm sure he will have very good content for other games. Heaven forbid you may find non-ESO content interesting right?
Deltia, like my recently deceased father, is a war veteran, a father, and an all around good person. It's for those reasons I'll support the guy because it was never about the game in the first place.
PS: Deltia I'll be sure to drop by your charity stream tommorow and support the cause. It's money going to a good place. Thanks for everything

Vipstaakki You have my vote, and an agree from me.
But on a slightly different note, how and why does this thread still exist? Lmao. It was hot and rather pressing news when it happened. Now all this is just getting annoying and ridiculous. I'm with Turelus and Rohamad_Ali in that the forums really have gone stupid. O_O

I don't even know where to start with this white knight bs. We're all supposed to continue "supporting" him even though he won't be plugging the game we play? What? Jesus people. This is how cults get started. If he ever tells you to drink the Kool-Aid, don't do it!

@Kodrac I don't know about you, but if someone offers me some Kool-Aid? It's going right down the hatch. No one denies free Kool-Aid, bruh. Nobody.

The dude was burnt out on the game.
It would take some huge changes in end game content, and game design for him to be happy. Things that ESO just does not have.
When you are out of story elements, this game loses it shine. He has been out of it for awhile.
That is why I pick it up and play once and awhile. After the let down that is thieves guild and brotherhood content. I just play when I feel like it.
What he wants is content from a sandbox mmo. That is not what this is. Once he said he done most of the story, I understood that this game was not for him now.

WHY is like EVERY OTHER word you say HAVE TO BE written in SUCH LARGE caps. I HONESTLY to do not UNDERSTAND it.

If you really want to help him out dont give him money to play video games and force him to go outside every once in a while. You shouldnt give money to a drug addict right?? So why is it ok to give money to someone addicted to playing a video game? Too many streamers think they are god....its annoying.

Give us small incremental changes and wait to see what is working and what isn't instead of alienating a huge base of faithful diehards like us!

So you're really just salty that @Deltia makes money doing something he loves and you don't? To me, keeping a war veteran with PTSD off welfare or prescription drugs and out of the VA is a good cause. He takes time and effort and creates content people not only enjoy, but find useful and valuable. It's not like he's just streaming in Cyrodiil like, "Derp...Give me monies." He has been one of, if not the most helpful player in the community. Recently, he's also been trying to encourage gamers to live a more healthy lifestyle. If people want to give him money, he deserves it. Comparing what he does to a drug addict panhandling is disgusting.
