Mega nerf reasons? CP 180 prevention?

So I was just watching Alcasts review on the PTS patch notes, and I found myself getting irritated again about the nerfs. I thought to myself why? So I started thinking maybe it is intended to raise the floor etc like ZOS has stated, and maybe it's to prevent / slowdown raising NPCs / gear to CP 180. could you imagine having to grind all of your gear again and gold it out? With how easy trials and vmsa etc have become at CP 600 a increase to CP 180 was imminent. Thoughts? Different ideas maybe?

    Tired of talking about it already, ZO$ sucks nerfs bad. But, I see your point, could have been worse, and still might get worse.

    Yes, they're reverting power creep which has accumulated over 2 years. No, it's not the end of the world or the game.

    yes things have become extremely easy as of late. But let me put it to you this way as to why what they're doing in unacceptable.

    WoW had 4 raids per year, every single year for the last decade.

    ZOS has 4 total for the past 3 years.

    OF COURSE things are gona get easy, what the hell did they expect? but instead of actively introducing ever more difficult content, the answer has always been nerfing the players to artificially extend the life of age long content.

    Power creep was an intended part of the game as it should be 3600 points to progressively make you characters more powerful. I play the game to constantly and consistently improve my characters. Not to heavy and light attack stuff and struggle with stuff I can easily do now.

Because an 8 k shield is f ing useless. Died because of baddies on the forum. Too much qq too little pew pew. 16 AD 2 DC. 0 EP cause they bad, CP 2300 plus 18 level 50 toons. NA, PC, Grey Host#SORCLIVESMATTER actually they don’t or they wouldn’t keep getting nerfed constantly.

    I agree somewhat, but you will only struggle with sustain if you ran a max damage build, it's ether we spend 2 - 3 months every year grinding gear we already had because the gear level was raised or they make a change similar to the changes they have made now. Let's imagine we had to grind all new gear, you are a core dps member in a end game raid guild, gear cap gets raised, 3 weeks after (or however much time) cap gets raised you still dont have BIS slot gear and you lose your hard earned core spot to someone because they had better RNG then you. Anyone that's ever been in a top scoring raid guild knows that's a real scenario, that is only 1 example, sit and think about all the others?
