I have the absolutely best guildmates in the world.... we were farming CoA 1 for me to get a BSW necklace... 3 DPS and 1 tank. This first run we did was one of our DPS' first ever vet dungeon.. so we did hard mode just to get him the achievement

soll✭✭✭Often sometimes I have a feeling, that this game have some hidden unnamed script, which supports new and unexp players with best drop. Like, for example, you went first time to trial ever, nMoL? Get a Moondancer sharp stave. Decided to refine first time ever obtained 50 ore? get 3-4 tempering alloys. Finished vMA for 2nd time? here is your inferno sharp, and etc. An yes, all of it happened to people around me, not "made" jokes
But if you are 700+cp go farm couple ages months more.
Or maybe I went crazy with grind, who knows...

One I dropped when doing CoA 2 pledge and the other some cp200 guy gave it to me for free... I'm guessing he didn't really know how rare it was
Using them now on my magdk dps, means I don't have to farm for inferno moon/ia

✭To be honest, I think BSW is wasted as a staff (since the set won't be possible to proc on your off-bar unless you have two.. and good luck with that). Personally I prefer 5 armour pieces of BSW and then using a staff like aether / moondancer (depending on which you prefer) or a maelstrom staff, though saying that, those are not easy to get either.
Conclusion: The grind never ends.1 -

Makes no sense to nerf a set just because it´s hard to get or nerfing something just beause a bunch of theorycrafters consider BSW to be one of the BiS itemsets.0 -

✭✭✭✭BSW has 2/3 uptime (because it has a cooldown) with a perfect rotation using a lot of fire skills: blockade, force pulse, reflective light for Templar, most DK skills. In practice it's about 60%. So you theoretically get about 400 extra spell damage, which is more like 360 spell damage. Julianos gives 300 spell damage and it's up all the time. A difference of only 60 spell damage which is negligible. You probably get ~1K DPS extra from that.
TL:DR 5 minutes at the Boreal Forge are way better than 50 hours farming COA1 for that staff (which may not never drop).Beta tester since February 2014, played ESO-TU October 2015 - August 2022, currently on an extended break

Sadly there are a lot of things that they do that don't make sense. Who knows though maybe they will leave it alone and not nerf it. We will see come June.
