How the hell do you make a good-looking female Dunmer?

Leskandera used to be pretty, but then she took a burning building to the face and chest...

(No, really. That is part of her backstory)

In any case, "looking good" is an entirely subjective thing... just play around in chargen until your character looks like you envision them! And if they don't, play around some more.

However... remember that dunmer are indeed more likely to have somber dispositions, and tend to show that on their face.

This is the best that I could do:

IIRC the only way to make them look somehow human is to move the circle for the facial structure as far away from "angular" (i.e. bat face) as possible. So put it somewhere on the left edge between heroic and soft.

Well I have been trying to make a nice female toon, race doenst matter but sofar not really succeeded. But the above Dunmer is a looker. Any tips which sliders you used ?

She's my main and I created her in 2014

I don't really remember much about the settings..

But I usually create my chars like this:

1) Pre-select and lock a few basic settings such as:
- Shape of the face (in case of Dunmer, use something between heroic and soft)
- Eye-Color / Hair-Color / Skin Color..
- A hairstyle that is not covering the face and ears too much
- no tattoos, no jewelry and other modifications
2) Then I hit "randomize" until I see something that I like.
3) I figure out what I like about it and then lock those settings in (e.g. nose looks good => lock the nose settings)
4) Go to step 2) until you are satisfied / all settings are locked
5) do some fine tuning

I never succeed when I try to make a character with a specific look. So I let the RNG help me out for once

Its not easy but possible. Skyrim was the game that decided Dark Elves needed more differentiation to High Elves so Bethesda gave them Klingon bones in their foreheads. ZOS had to conform to this trumping design decision

I like that Dark Elves have their own distinct appearance, but it's true that it's tricky to soften that furrowed brow look. For my character I chose the 'soft' angle for the facial features, a flatter forehead, and an eyebrow shape that was not very arched, to achieve a milder expression. I was really pleased with how she turned out:

It's their bone structure. Dunmer always have an arched brow ridge shape. A completely softened face and the right eyebrows might help though.

It's called "Doeskin-and-Chamois Woods Wear". I don't think it is currently in the crown store, but there is a similar looking one (Graht-Climber's Active Wear) which also looks nice.

The randomizer can be your friend. What I do is use the randomizer on each individual facial point until I get the look I'm after (because I suck at doing it manually). Then I 'lock' that facial point and move on to the next. Repeat until you have the look you're after. The body is the easy part.

You guys seem to have some pretty good graphics cards cause my Etcha Sketch doesn't make the game look anything like those.
