Armor of the Trainee comes in different racial styles, so does a number of them. Typically, it is the sets like Trainee or Syvarra or Bahara's that drop in multiple weights that drop in different styles. But, some single weight sets can be in different styles also.

Its why most of my characters wear a costume of some kind.

Zos coming out with transmogrification anytime soon?

TESO needs a wardrobe system badly. Something similar to WoW's tmog system would make this game one of the best mmorpg out there!

Some do. Cyrodiil sets immediately come to mind. I really hope this trend doesn't spread to others though.

You'd just have to grind longer to get your ideal matching set.

Or they finally just give us the ability to Transmog as ESO+ members or crafters to remake items in the desired style and trait. It will eventually happen.

    Trainee (style of the zone)
A variety of IC/Cyrodiil sets (style of the alliance)

Some sets have different styles because they used to drop in one style and now drop in another style. E.g., Overwhelming used to drop from WGT in Xivkyn, but now it drops from Tempest in Maomer (visually the same as Ancient Elf). In these cases, you cannot obtain items in the older style unless traded to you by someone who had gotten it before the change.

If they make it ESO+ only that would be BS. With ZOS being ZOS ESO+ will probably get it the easier way. Similiar to costume dyeing. ESO+ members will get it for free and much more customizing, while non-subs have to buy them(pre select). All of that is about costume dyes. It's used as an example.

Smells Like Tree Spirit - Bosmer Sorc

What is wrong with ESO+ members having cosmetic bonuses? And it's not like we are ESO+ for free.

i wouldn't see the disadvantage if you could transmog - you would still have to grind the motifs the same way...i don't see any negative impact on any level and it would be a nice eso+ bonus...the current ones are pretty meh...i mean the dlc is the only real good one and that gets basically paid over time

Transmorg for ESO+ only makes no sense, now if it cost crowns or crown items it makes sense eso+ get it for free.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
