And then I see it, standing there in all his glory, the heavy attacking, snipe spamming bow dps. I watched in amazement as he valiantly battled his single zombie foe, eventually he emerged victorious.
Still slightly surprised I turned to his dps partner to see why he hadn't come to his aid. And there it is, the frags hard casting spam sorc. He proved to be as effective at killing things as his buddy.

Why would someone protest opening chests in a dungeon, ran with random group? I see the point of not opening chests if it were a trial where you run with guild mates for score, and where every second lost counts, and where the group may split and not be able to loot the same chest before it despawns (vAA, vHRC). As an anecdote, I opened two chests in a vWGT run: one contained a sharpened lightning staff, the other a powered restoration one. So yea, chests are pretty good, if they are at least intermediate.
EDIT: So as I read on, i see that the Gargoyle boss, Quintus, cannot be taunted at all times? So that makes me feel better about the tank in my group, but still does not explain the rest of the mob pulls and bosses in the dungeon... No reason a Sorc DPS should be getting focus healed, and casting his wards because he is taking the brute of the boss dmg.
As I remember the Red Centurion doesn't take to a taunt very well either, seems to like chasing the healer though. But I've only tanked that dungeon a few times since 1T.
The entire group was running around like mad men on the first Gargoyle changing boss (I forget his name) because the tank could not hold aggro.
-We worked around it and made it through to the final boss, although encountering the same issue at all the bosses and mob pulls...
At the final boss, we hit hard mode for the pledge. And the "tank" goes to the yellow centurion and engages it while the blue is shooting his AoE and the red is chasing ANYONE in sight because the tank does not taunt and kite them away.. I get it, the red guy hits pretty hard and the Yellow has a really strong heavy it charges up - its not an easy task (I've not tanked before, so i'm assuming its not easy, but manageable).

Good that you know already that Gargoyle don't let you hold aggro, but about last boss... I saw few tactics, but mostly tank taunted only yellow boss. Cause he does one-shot with his 2h weapon or arm, whatever. Tank don't taunt red, cause it's easy to avoid him, and blue is just shooting, what is easy to avoid too. So usually in my parties dps killed first red, then yellow and blue finally. But I guess it doesn't matter if you kill yellow first. So he actually was a good tank... Cause only pro tanks are able to have 2 of these taunted and still live. Maybe healer was bad, if he was letting you die or dps weren't survivable... Please, don't insult someone who do his job, if you don't know tactics. Actually it looks like you were the 'bad pugs' here.
I don't want to insult anyone, but it's not okay for me to say that someone isn't good player if you're not sure you're right. I mean everything what he was doing is doing by most of tanks in this dung. But last boss is quite hard, need to say that.
Again, I didn't want to insult you, just wanted to show you the opposite perspective.

You can only taunt one centurion. Other two are totally immune and do wtf they want.

Now I know. I did some tanking since I wrote this post
.
I was grinding tank by doing random normals with no problems, apart pro cp players who were like 'lol, 35 lvl tank, what are you doing here, gtfo' and they were kicking me. I never understand it, how cp player can kick low level from content which was created actually for low levels to get some exp when 160cp+ should do random vet... I even completed dlc dungs with other 'low level noobs'. I can't even think about better response than l2p for these ppl.

So there i was qued up for VWGT as DPS , after the 3rd boss somebody left and we had this 3 people a Argonian temp healer cp 180, tank 460, and a DPS cp 300 or so.
Due to people not having mic we got killed few times and then that is when it started the leader was cp 300 and he wanted to kick out the healer to which i declined and after 2 times we got killed we got on the mic and managed to finish it, we got to the last boss and things just went down hill, the Cp 300 dps was a leader every time he died and 80% of times he was first to go down kept on saying ohh great i died again , healer didn't do his job again , tank is not doing what he is supposed to do ohh we died again look at that ... why do i bother playing, i hate this i hate that over and over and over again when its his fault as he is getting killed and we try to ress him we get killed because of him .... it gets to you
Now after 40 min of trying to finish the boss and hearing all the negativity ALL the time like and i mean ALL THE TIME , it came to the point where the tank had to go and it was 3 of us , the cp 300 tried to kick the temp many times and they started fighting via text
Cp 300 kept on trying to kick the healer to which i declined, i asked the CP 300 the leader ... get us in que so we can get a new player... cps 300 said " not until we get rid of this !@#$ healer until he is gone im not going to que us in ... i can wait here all night i don't care and you can #$%# off as well if you don't kick him out i don't care i can wait " and i heard TV going on in the background .... i whisper that to the temp ... the temp said "its ok buddy i will go so you can finish this ".."i replied back i don't need to finish it i got close every monster mask i need but you dont" .. so there we were waiting for 10 min .. and still listening to cp 300 been negative and blaming others and healer... so ive done something i didn't do in a very very long time... i voted to kick him off and we did..
after few min later we got people joining and leaving we got 1 DPS after 15 min the same guy CP 300 joined !!.... and it was like nope ,no i can't deal with his negativity again so i kicked him out again and another DPS joined and we finished it like a hot knife thought butter.
After all this i spoken to templer and he was happy he got to finish the VWGT for the first time as he was only playing for a month and a bit , i gave him some pointers and crafted him full julianos set in light purple and made him destro and resto all in Hollowjack Motif staff no charge , LOL never seen/ heard somebody so happy in my life.
My question is has anybody else came across negative people that just do your head in?
