The guildmaster is a nice guy that tries to be sociable with everyone...but this guild just isn't going anywhere. No one talks, no one ever runs dungeons, the guy says things like "check out our thriving guild store, we'll have a merchant soon" when I know for a fact no one uses it and nothing is listed on it but newb mats...
Nice guy or not, this guild is a waste of time and a potential guild slot. I'm going to give it a chance for a little while longer before I just leave.
Meanwhile if there was a really good guild but the owner was a *** I don't think I'd care in the slightest unless the guy was a *** to me specifically. Even then it kind of depends to what extent he is a ***. The owner isn't the reason I join guilds in the first place. I join a trading guild for example to trade, not because I know the stranger who invited me to it. If I join a PvE guild it's to PvE with other people, not necessarily the owner specifically.
