If you are in a top trading guild or a guild that you really like, but you dislike the guild master's behaviour or rude personality, do you careless and stay, or do you leave no matter what?

The GM is the face of the guild. If I don't like certain aspects of their personality or anything guild related that they have control over, it absolutely affects my decision to stay in the guild.

It was another guild members behavior that persuaded me to leave a guild.

Is the rudeness directed to me and there is no reason maybe. If I am not involved and I see the guildmaster cares for guild organization so that my sales are good, guild trader always around in a good spot and I have my profit, I don't care.

Trading guilds are trading guilds and guilds where I actually join Teamspeak and play together with people are a totally different thing. I keep that strictly separated. Therefore you have 5 guild slots in this game.

Trading guilds are just a matter of ingame gold for me, so less morality and idealism, but more pragmatism please. I wonder if anybody would apply the same measure in RL when he would lose his 100.000 $ yearly job for being the good guy that couldn't relate to the corporate identity, because the CEO is an ass (well I guess the most are, because you won't get there otherwise).

Sometimes the prey turns and nips us... it's a small thing.

So let the snow flakes and unicorns dance alone until they melt or vanish from existence, we will finish up with those smart enough to stay in the glowing circle of love.

If everyone stuck to their guns and left these power guilds when the gm gets to power tripping, then we'd have less ego on the game.

I marked yes but that doesn't apply to trade guilds. The only thing you need your trade guild for is access to the trader. Turn off the guild chat and ignore everything. Just make sure you pay any dues if there are any.

Of course it does, I remember while I was playing Rift, population was down and the game was almost death, some guilds acted very rudely.

In a top traders' guild, I'm in it for myself and personal profit.
If I leave a guild like that, it would only be because he lost a valuable Guild Trader, and I start earning less.

And unless I'm related to the guild master somehow (other than being a member of his guild), I don't bother with what he does, as long as I can play with guild members that do matter to me.

If its a trading guild. I dont even know who is who.
THE CAVELRY HAS ARRIVED! Cav is a professional magblade, (in his not so professional opinion). He is immortal and is fighting for the Pact since 2E 572, amidst the turmoil of the Second Akaviri Invasion. He protects the provinces of Skyrim, Morrowind and Black Marsh.

Depends on the guild. If is a trading guild I can't care less what the leader is doing as long I get the trader I want every week. That said, since we have plent of offers of trading guilds, I'd pick the ones with leaders I think are cool. IE: Business sharks, there is a reason why the term exist, yet they swim in cash.

For competitive PVE and PVP guilds as long the leader knows what they are doing and get the job done, I can put up with them being ruthless/rude, such is the kind of personality bred in competitive enviroments. As long he isn't unecessary rude or dumb. IE. Renegade Commander Shepard, a fine leader that gets the job done.

Finally, for a social guild the personality is everything.

I only have 1 guild where I keep the chat visible to me. The other "trade and raid" guilds I'm in can contact me via PM if they really need to inform me of something. Otherwise I sell my goods, stay above the "trade limit" per week and keep communications between myself and my favorite guild. It's too big of a pain to try to talk between multiple guilds anyways.

As member of a guild I'm "one of them" or, better said, "one of us".
If anyone's behaviour in the guild (evenmore so if it's the GM's behaviour) makes me feel ashamed of being part of the group, I leave immediately.

Pretty sure I wouldn't able to be "in a guild I really like" and be in in a guild where I "dislike the guild master's behavior or personality" at the same time. The leader sets the tone. D-bag leader's going to have a d-bag guild. Elitist leader's going to have an elitist guild. Genuinely helpful and dedicated leader is going to have a guild of people eager to help each other out.

Ill join because a friend invited me but if a guildmaster likes to kick people for merely having a different opinion than him/her or uses their status as guild master to be a *** to guildies then im out (i have personally seen both scenarios). Would rather be around a more open minded and kind hearted crowd thank you very much.

Yes. I quit a guild early on in the game because some GM went on a profanity-laced tirade, and suggested that anyone who didn't like it could leave. I no longer remember the name of the guild, or the guild master, but I doubt either are around anymore.

Yes. Guild leaders set the personality of the guild. Fortunately I have had good experience but it has been due to good guild leaders creating a good atmosphere. This is the same regardless of it being a solid raid guild or more of a social guild.

I have seen people leave guild though due to their own personal issues that they may blame others for.

I've been in several large trading and smaller end-game guilds on NA PS4 and I must say the master of each has been nothing but a pleasure to game with. I've never had a bad experience with guild members on any level, and I truly appreciate that.

OT; It'd be circumstantial for me. If the GM was a tool, but the guild still operated well and I had some good friends to run with, I'd stick about. I don't really mind either way. Unless you're talking about a top tier raiding guild or a small guild that is just your close friends, you could easily find another within 5 minutes of spamming zone chat.
