I understand the whole 'hidden' philosophy behind this> ZOS wants you to keep on grinding content and keep on playing the game no matter how you enjoy it.
My problem is that I enjoy several aspects of the game. I run my own guild of over 250 members. I like to run the occasional dungeon. But I also like to have as many collectibles as I can. Lately it seems that this is all the game has devolved into. Festival after Festival of 'limited edition' garbage which people like me just can't resist. My guild management is slipping. I haven't been able to run a dungeon in over 6 months due to the incessant desire to have these limited things, and although I fully realise that this is totally my choice, ZOS can we please just have a friggin break to take a breath and actually enjoy the game for a bit. Run a dungeon perhaps. Do a quest or two. And be able to do these things without the hovering dread that maybe I'm wasting time when I should be working on grinding an alt with double XP or working harder to get more limited collectibles.

It is a very dangerous dance for them.
They might get a few more players logging in during festivals so they don't miss out on limited time stuff but it can make the game tedious. And the big danger comes when someone just can't stomach the thought of a festival and skips one. Because once they've skipped one and missed out on any limited time stuff they'll be more inclined to skip future ones.
In the game's defence, you can buy (with gold, not cash) your way around a lot of the grind in these festivals, eg. the rarer recipes or sparklers in this one.

I don't care about achievements that don't give any sort of reward. I have better things to do then travel the world for a gold star and a "good job!" Like pvp or pledges.

It takes 15 mns do to the festival's quest... 20 mns for a dungeon... I'm sure you play more than 1 hour per day...
