✭✭✭✭✭BretonBreton magicka sorceror. She sucks. Her DPS is terrible. I've been trying to find ways to improve her build, but I've been having trouble so far. Meanwhile, I was in a dungeon today and a nightblade half my level put me to shame with his superior DPS. It was sad. Luckily, I play solo, so the only person I disappoint is myself. LOL!

Shgon_Dunstan✭✭✭BretonTechnically speaking, historically bretons are more meant to be magical tanks then damage dealers.
Hence the whole 50% magic resistance deal.
It's just that, from what I've seen anyway, they've been rather nurfed in that regard in this game. Not really ESO's fault though. Hell, the nerfing was even going on in Skyrim.Edited by Shgon_Dunstan on March 18, 2017 5:52AM0 -

Altmer are the true best for dps IF your rotations are perfect, you reapply shields flawlessly and you know how to sustain.
Breton is more forgiving; they will do slightly less dps, but have more resistance if your shields drop, and spell cost reduction is more useful than regen when you are low on magica and spamming abilities ("panic playing").
Arguably Breton would be better than altmer for mag tanking, healing and for pvp. I'm researching this at the moment, as I play a breton mag sorc, but am considering getting a race change for the extra couple of %dps. There was a really good discussion about this on reddit a few days ago.

The stamina one for legitimate reasons because he's for solo and not maxed DPS, so the extra beef and healing power are nice.

Is this actually true for PvP? I've actually heard a lot of people say Breton is in fact better than Altmer because of slightly better sustain and resistance. Can someone confirm this? I only ask, because I was thinking about a race change from Altmer to Breton just because of this (slightly better performance at PvP).
Money is not a problem cause I saved some points from subscription, but I don't wanna change my race only to realize later that Bretons are actually worse than Altmer not only in PvE DPS but also PvP.
