High elf or Breton magicka sorc?

    I made a Breton Sorc because she's a dainty, pretty redhead and I have a weakness for making attractive characters. :p

    I do have a couple high elves of other classes though. Thran'duil (a Templar and my only male character) is my favorite, with his great elk mount, all golden armor, crown on his head and dual swords. ;)

    I have a High Elf Sorc because it was the best choice for pure DPS. But i then made a Breton Sorc and preferred to play him.

    High elf
    I use High Elf, my choice wasn't even because of meta, I didn't even know anything about that stuff years ago when I first started this game. I just knew I wanted a race that's gifted in magic from Elder scrolls, and I always choosed either High Elf or Breton in the past games.

    Lore wise Bretons are perfect as a sorcerer, and even now with the shield change, along with their Magicka Mastery/Spell Resistance passives.

    If you value your race, you should not be voting for them in stuff like this... not with the racial reworks looming on the horizon. Its just going to remind the powers that be what the current meta is and which races to nerf.

    I play the Altmer, Breton, and Dunmer Sorcs. They're all fun.

    If you're going for flavor of the day, don't get too attached; ZOS loves to nerf and we're drawing ever nearer the next great nerf. I expect Altmer and Dunmer to take major hits.

    This isn't even close. You only pick bretons for rp reasons. They're not the best for anything.

    My Sorc is a Dunmer, made in the earliest days where flame damage was not worse than shock damage, for that class, but better. But I've not actively played him since about 2016, he's my main crafter now.
