What's your favorite style for staves

So I currently like the dominion motif for my flame staff and resto staff. I am planning on changing my resto staff to another style that just makes it shout I can heal through your damage. This got me thinking what style do you guys like for your staves?

Damn, good thread idea.

I'll warn I don't know all of them (mostly the DLC ones) but I'm very fond of Dunmer for the gem in the middle and Daedric/Xivkin for the darker more evil look.

As an after thought edit. I like Imperial or Dwemer for Restoration staves.

I really enjoy Soul Shriven, it makes it look like a stick.

This one likes the Stahlrim Frostcaster "P2W" motif the most. Seriously one of the best motifs imho. Most of my characters use it now. Shame it was crownstore exclusive though.

Ebony is kinda neat actually, as is Akaviri(they're even a bit similar).
I agree Dominion staff looks cool too. I also still really really like good old Nord for a resto staff, I mean it's just like the snake around the phial(or whatever the word is) symbolizing medicine, what else could you possibly want?

Also low level Barbaric looks op but high level Barbaric is just ugly.

Oh yeah, and Stahlrim has awesome weapons in general, also some of the few that don't take on the color of the material used to make them(forever red on top level) but meh crown store.

I keep it simple, and go Dunmer on almost all my staves.

I wish I liked something else better, because I've invested in a lot of woodworking motifs, and because staves are among the few kinds of crafted gear that are highly visible even on costume-wearers. (Basically, they're in a third place tie with 2-handed melee weapons, behind the two other woodworking options, namely bows/quivers and shields.) But I don't.

When I make staves I will do inferno in soul shriven. Lightning in trinimac and restoration in dwemer.
My healer though bucks this trend since she has a powered worm resto staff and they come in soul shriven.

The pair of staves I crafted for my most recently-leveled character were Ra Gada front bar, Silken Ring back bar. Ra Gada looks pretty sweet and are currently my favorite style for a staff.

That said, what constitutes my favorite changes all the time. It's fashion, and after staring at one staff for too long, I'll get tired of it and yearn for a fresh new look.

Some of the staves that have been my favorite now and in the past include:

Ancient Elf
Daedric
Xivkyn
Akaviri
Daggerfall Covenant
Celestial
Ra Gada
Silken Ring
Hollowjack
Dro-m'Athra (but the crafted version pales in comparison to the non-crafted)

My favorite motif for staves doesn't matter, because even after learning almost all styles, and even forking over the cash for the Stahlrim motif, I still can't change any of my staves from the drop-sets I use to be the ones I like.

I like the Covenant, as even when crafted, the lion head is still silvery looking with only very limited 'red' on the shaft. It also sits nicely on your character's back, not like some of the other styles that sit far too high.

I quite like soul shriven for staves, but on a recent shorter character I found they looked too long so I went with the slightly shorter (but still not red) outlaw style. I don't have some of the fancier styles though so I can't comment on how nice they might be.

Bosmer. Interesting but not over the top. I like that the top is 3 dimensional instead of flat and the staff seems to fit my tiny Bosmer better than our second choice (Nord).
