I do this, too. When she goes to the desert, she wears something sleeveless that doesn't look too heavy. When she goes to Wrothgar or Eastmarch, she dresses like she's going to get cold, with sleeves and a hat/hood. I do this for other people's immersion as well as my own. I cringe when I go somewhere covered in snow, and there's some dude there with his character dressed in skimpy garb like it ain't no thang.I change my costume, mount and pet when the region I'm going has a different climate.

Role-players make the world more alive. I love walking into inn, and find some real, non-scripted conversation. I often sit down, have a drink and "listen" for a while.
Other than that, I always make the decisions in quests based on the character I'm playing.
