As I've noted in other threads on this subject, months ago Wrobel said that players should be using Cost Reduction enchants for sustain, instead, players are running all damage enchants and simply using armor/CP for reduction... this change will force those players to run CR enchants as he intended to happen months ago.

Grat change stacking damage with 3 dmg enchants while having unlimited sustain still is a problem. No one should be allowed to sustain for ever. Current CP allows this.

If I remember correctly that was in a thread regarding the block cost changes introduced in Dark Brotherhood. I don't think it was meant as "use more Cost Reductions or we are forcing you use them". Also that change introduced changes to sturdy to alleviate the changes.
I fear this will hit the non-elite part of the player base the hardest, players that already struggle with sustain and can barely reach 17k dps since the latest update.
I wouldnt panic until we see all the changes planned. Surely there will be buffs to light and medium armor to try and get people back in the armor that goes with their builds. Stamina in medium, magicka in light and tanks in heavy. should do away with the dmg bonus for heavy armor while they are at it.

Actually this came after the block costs, and it either had to do with increased ability costs or some other change to regeneration... and Wrobel's reply was that players should be using Cost Reduction enchants for sustain.
I agree with what others have stated, I don't see this as a bad thing. They wanted to 'bring down the roof' on damage, and right now there are builds that not only roll high damage but also high sustain thanks to being able to slot 3x Damage Glyphs with no hindrance to sustain. By removing Cost Reduction from CP, they will now pretty much force most of those players to swap out some of those damage glyphs for cost reduction... since all the tests I've seen show that cost reduction is much better than regen.

I couldn't agree more. ZOS nerfs everything, because of PVP. They need to be separate.

How long are PvEers going to blame PvPers for non-PvP changes?

This nerf will hit the classes that don't have infinite sustain more than those they run around with 600 regen in heavy.
I used 5x seducer/ 2x bloodspawn and a cost reduction to sustain on my mag dk, i use 7 armor slot and i still need to be careful and chug pots and drops ults on cooldown.
My stam sorc literally has all dmg sets and has far better sustain than my dk.
Instead of balancing sustain between classes and builds there blanket nerfing things again.
My stam sorc won't feel the regen nerf, it'll lose 16% cost reduction which means 1 cost reduction or use gold food for stam/mag regen.
My mag dk will feel this nerf far more.
