AD. Altmer is my main. Love the lush forests and and other areas in AD. AD is never too good in Cyrodiil, but I hate PvP anyway. 6 of my 8 characters are AD. For the Queen!

Although my favourite race is Altmer and most of my characters are in the Pact because of my guild... the Covenant had the best quests and characters by far for me, so I have to go with the Covenant!

AD is the master Alliance. Didn't we win the war? ;)
Well.... not quite.. (sorry for saying that, but the AW "winner" is described in Lore)
After the events that take place in ESO, right after that We have Tiber Septim - the founder of the first empire (that conquered not only Cyrodill but also other provinces)

    from the wiki:
    http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Tiber_Septim#Race

We know Tiber Septim was a human...
"what is known is that he was not a Mer or Beastfolk, but a subspecies of Men." - that leaves us with Nord, Breton or Redguard.
So AD races are Altmer, Bosmer and Khajiit... no humans there... ;)

This post is wrong on so many levels.

Nope, it's 100% accurate on every level.

    DC forever

    Ok, lets analyze it.

I guess the banner is blue, and that @Molydeus did kill enemies of DC.

Lion might be mighty as an animal, but it has so little to do with DC. I mean, if Khajiit would take lion as a banner, I could understand, but when bunch of mongrels and their lapdogs redguards and Orsimer do so, its a sad thing.
Wannabe king, whiny breton merchant Emeric is all but brave, and if what he does is wisdom, than I have met mudcrabs that are near to achieve state of Chim, compared to what "wise" "king" Emeric does.

About how bretons and redguards compliment eachother, beyond bed adventures of Emeric and his queen I fail to see what you mean. Bretons see redguards in same fashion as *** members see african american ppl, and both of them see Orsimer as mentally challenged beasts that should be used as trollbait in first rows on the battlefield. I pity the Orsimer, they deserved better allies than those who destroyed and will destroy Orsinium. I agree, it is not slavery, but destruction of your lands and satanization of your people by calling them animals, lesser than men or mer, justifying all attrocities towards them is not great thing either.

Bill Nighy - after his role as emeric, he is pretty much dead to me.

Last but not least. DC and small scale PvP.
Complete, utter, absolute bs. PC EU TF/Azura/Haderus... Small scale my ass.

Loremaster Lawrence Schick answered that one somewhere. Imperials are pretty much out of the game as an army. You meet them in bits and pieces in Cyrodiil but in small numbers, isolated in small camps. They're basically overwhelmed, defeated and torn apart (by the daedric invasion). Which is the reason why the three other factions have a war now because there's an empty throne to catch.

If you play an Imperial you can decide to be a soldier who fled the war, a civilian who had nothing to do with the war, a soldier who joined another alliance, a spy, a traitor, whatever... just not a member of any current imperial army, since it doesn't really exist anymore.

It most certanly exist, and not just in small camps here and there. There are several large, independant sections of the Imperial Legion causing trouble around Tamriel, such as the Seventh Legion in the Alikr and Bankoray, the Sixth legion in Cyrodiil, Legion of the West Weild and Legion Zero, in the Imperial City.

I wished the game didn't have the any race any alliance pact - I like a bit of segregation! I think it would help

Legion Zero ? The group of 10+ poor guys trapped in noble's district hopping from one door to the next to escape the daedra ? I wouldn't call that a military force by any means.
Regardless of "power", a military force requires a commandment on a political level, who would that be in current Tamriel or in current Cyrodiil ?
But you're free to have your own vision of things (no irony here, I think interpretation is up to us, individually).

If you mean Imperial player characters, then they are required to choose one of the three listed sides during character creation (the only other alternative is to side with Molag Bal :open_mouth:, which the game fortunately won't let you do).

In my case, my Imperial Nightblade chose to side with the Daggerfall Covenant. Of the three sides, is that the one where an Imperial character can most blend in (at least as much as someone running around in medium Imperial armor can blend in)?

TESO has three factions. Daggerfall Covenant are the Bretons, Redguard, and Orsimer. Ebonheart Pact are the Nords, Dunmer, and Argonians. Aldmeri Dominion are the Altmer, Bosmer, and Khajiit. Which alliance do you like most? Why is it your favorite?

You can pay cash shop to switch the alliance of your race if you are creating a character for the first time. Not many do this because paywall and no way to switch after you start a char.

I entered the game six months ago as a Dunmer. I don't think I would have given two thoughts to my faction until I entered pvp. First impressions stick. I absolutely hate the AD and DC. To me you are my enemies. I will forgive you if you pve only. The way I forgive wood elves who don't see me as an ingredient in the evening stew.

Also, our landscapes are better looking. I'm loyal to the Ebonheart Pact.

On PC it's fairly common to find people who have the Any Race in Any Alliance upgrade because it was a pre-order bonus, and a lot of pre-order copies were still floating around after release. I bought the game a year after it came out and I still got sent a pre-order box with the code inside. Also I suspect a lot of people do buy it, I know I wouldn't want to play without it and I'm sure I'm not the only one. It is expensive but it's a one-time payment to be able to create any characters you want.

I don't really have a favourite faction. I think DC is probably the one that seems most reasonable to me - the one that comes closest to putting all the races on an even footing and most likely to give other races/provinces a fair deal if they managed to conquer them. But I find it hard to really care knowing that we're basically just killing time until Tiber Septim comes along and in a few hundred years no one will even remember what the different factions were - only that everyone was fighting everyone else. And to be honest I think that's a better outcome than any of the Alliances winning.

But I have 6 characters and they're split evenly - 2 DC, 2 AD, 2 EP. Somewhat by coincidence there's also 1 character who chose to support their Alliance and one who doesn't really care in each alliance.

When I'm role-playing I'll act according to the characters feelings, although only when I'm actually 'acting'; if I'm talking in zone or guild chat then I do that as myself, not my character, I'm not going to start insulting some random just because my character doesn't like their alliance. I don't do PvP in ESO but even in games where I do I could never get into the idea of 'hating' your enemy. Maybe because I grew up playing RTS and FPS games against my dad and my siblings, so my enemies weren't faceless opponents from the opposing faction, they were family. (So I might feel like I hated them sometimes, but not because of the game.)

I usually stick with the AD simply because of my kinship with the Khajiit race. Although, having played all three quest lines, I find Queen Ayrenn the most level-headed of the three. To see her cry over her brother's loss... nice touch. The other two... I'll just keep my opinions about them to myself.

I also enjoy the landscape. From the giant trees to the serene plains. Khennarthi's Roost and Reaper's March are two of my favorite areas in the entire game, and they belong to the AD.

Finally, Razum Dar. The best NPC in the game and a favorite by many, regardless what faction they're aligned to.

I enjoy it when the Queen or Razum Dar are fighting with me. Makes me feel connected to them, which I don't get with the other factions.

    No question about it.

And its not just because I am an incorrigable dunmer lover, ever since discovering their rich and intriguing history in TES:Morrowind...

It's also the thrilling stories of the pact questlines that -really- made me feel he setting of the three banners war. When I go to Cyrodil, I whisper "Remember Bleackrock!" and "This is for Stonefalls!" to myself whenever I go after some covenant swine, or "Get yours, Hatchling-killers!" when I attack the dominion cowards... there is none of that from the other alliances, thus I kinda feel like a jerk when I think about PvPing with my other alts... The pact stories just make you feel like you have a just cause fighting the other alliances, defending your lands, bringing retributiuon for the atrocities their invasions comitted...

I also love the origin story of the pact! None of that "let's band together to conquer the world" or "follow our lead we know best" crap we get from DC or AD... but a purely defensive alliance to fight off an akaviri incursion.

I have characters in all alliances but for PvE, my favorite is AD because of the story and Razum Dar.

The entire game is beautifuland I can't pick based on the maps.

I love AD's Khenarthi's roost, Auridon and the lush jungles.

I also love DC's Stos M'Kai, Betnick and Bankorai.

EP'S Bleakrock, the Rift and Eastmarch remind me of where I grew up in northern New England, especially the Rift. The mushrooms and weird landscapes around Davons Watch are pretty cool too.

Overall the environmental variety in the game is very well done.

For PvP, I am trying to decide between AD and DC. Its been really hard for me to maje up my mind. Leaning toward DC right now.
    I really don't like EP because.....reasons.
