While I agree Ayrenn has some points for trying to unite with the Bosmer and Khajiit rather than conquer them, I don't trust that she can do it. Just look at the Auridon and to a lesser extent Greenshade quest lines, far too many members of her court clearly aren't looking to be friends with the "lesser races." So even if she did win the war her victory would only last as long as she was in power, after which her empire would crumble from its own rot and an inevitable civil war.

The Pact built on one battle can't really last, too much bad blood between Dumner and the Argonians. The Nords and either one of the other 2 might work but not all 3. Eventually a Dumner bureaucrat will get tired of punishing his peers for "incidental" acts against Argonians and the Argonains will have had enough. And it will be a race to see who the Nords ignore the whining of first.

Meanwhile the covenant is similar to the pact but that only the Reguards and Bretons really work, eventually some future orc king is going to make one demand or request too many and some king who forgot why the covenant was made in first place, Breton or Redguard, will just sack them again. And the orcs know this so they are just waiting for it to happen, which is why there is the no Breton or Redguard armies in Wrothgar rule.

In my opinion, AD is the least fragile alliance. Yes, the Altmer have some issues with self-esteem, but that's it, there's not much bad blood between the 3 races. It is the only alliance that actually can last, given time, many Altmer will realize that working with other races is actually not bad at all, and they will learn to respect each other.

That was quite hard to choose. I feel Ebonheart pact had the most beautiful regions with skyrim and Morrowind (although I didn't like Shadowfen that much and have never been through more than half of it). AD had an amazing storyline, which really explored the culture of the bosmer and Khajiit. However I didn't like the regions so much, up until the final zone before coldharbour. In the end I favoured DC. It had nice looking zones, the swamps of glenumbra suited the glemoril witches, and it's a real shame they didn't expand on that. Bangkoria is beautiful and the story of DC was great.

Only finished AD's Auridon so far. Very repetitive quests conisting of ghosts and caves - and a dull, gray forest. Not a fan of AD at the moment.

AD because we have Khajiit and Bosmers [edit: and Razum-dar]. We ought to get the Argonians to join us, then it would be perfect.

Originally I wanted to be EP because I love the color red and the dragon symbol, but when creating characters, my friend wanted to be DC and told me to do so as well, otherwise we wouldn't be able to do anything together (Lies, the only thing we can't do together is Cyrodiil). But luckily I bought the Imperial upgrade so I made a story for my character basically so that I can feel better about myself.

Born an Imperial, left knowing Imperial City would so fall and under terrible leadership, I left looking forward to joining the Ebonheart Pact, but was caught by Covenant forces and forced into there way of life. I could regain my freedom, but only if I vowed to willingly live and fight for the Daggerfall Covenant. Knowing very well that I'd rather be out there and do anything else but be a prisoner, I accepted their offer but with little to no joy. Everyday I find myself liking the DC more and more, but will always long and wonder about joining the EP one day. Until then I will continue to grow more and more powerful, taking it one step at a time.

    AD.

From the beginning of the game, or pre-beginning I guess, I had made some friends and we had decided for AD at that point. And I'm loyal to my alliance, so all 12 of my guys are AD.

I think I like the DC zones best, though I do enjoy Auridon and some of the other AD areas almost as much as Auridon. I also like the Rift area of EP, but I couldn't stand the Stonefalls/Deshaan zones - felt too bleak to me. (More used to it now I guess, but as you would guess I lean toward the traditional medieval fantasy feel.

I kind of wish at this point they would get rid of the alliances to go along with the "truce" they created with one Tamriel and just have us fighting as mercenary groups in cyrodiil that align to our original alliances or something. Then allow you to change that with crown store if you wished (though I'd make the whole account one alliance and not per character if it were me, especially if allowing switches).

    The Covenant!

Their cause is true, their banner is blue, their enemies I slew.

A lion is mighty & king, High King Emeric is brave & wise. Bretons and Redguards are fantastic allies because they compliment eachother so well, Orcs are fierce warriors. Bill Nighy.

They are also the only alliance without slaves

DC is the best at small scale PvP

Bill Nighy does give the Covenant an advantage since he's such an exceptional character actor. So out of the three sovereigns I would have to say Emeric wins that contest.

Main is a Khajiit so AD. Prefer most of the quest lines (apart from Malabal Tor. And the Bosmer.) But Auridon & Reapers March make up for it.

DC not too bad but don't really enjoy Alik'r or Betnihk. But EP is the one that annoys the most. Only redeemed by Shadowfen.

So. AD. (Tho wish wasnt yellow)

Giving others lessons and calling even a single person "Skyrim online kiddy" after playing just Skyrim yourself is hypocrisy 101. Enjoy your DC, it suits you well.

Aesthetically, I like AD. But they have the most boring quests. EP's quests have a slow start, but gain momentum after Shadowfen. DC's quests are probably the most "balanced", having a good mix of likable characters and interesting stories.

Having said all this, I enjoy EP the most overall.

My favorite is whatever character I'm playing at that moment. I'm semi thinking like my characters when I play, and they will have their own views on things based on their backstories and where they live, so each one will have preference for their own factions. It's all just story to me, as a player I don't see one as better than the other.

Um nope smurfs have the most boring quests, hands down, no contest :P They are just your regular "king and castle" stories, the lore behind the Breton is boring, the lore behind the Redguard is silly, only the lore about Orcs is interesting, too bad Wrothgar is not a part of DC's storyline :P While in AD we can explore a lot about the lore behind the Altmer, the Bosmer and the Khajiit, they are all interesting.

I joined EP first, and was excited to be there. But a solid week of explicit and sometimes gory hate speech, the worst I've seen in 20 years of mmos, made me regret rolling a healer where'd I'd be supporting the "fun" of those people. Maybe I have bad luck, but every time I try to play EP there is someone flooding chat with the kind of non ironic rhetoric you find on defaced ethnic cemeteries and chat transcripts from To Find a Predator. My ignore list can only get so long. GMs need to police chat for the blatantly obvious anti-TOS stuff.

DC I found to be quite boring.

So then AD became my faction.

Now with 1Tam those players can be anywhere and even if EP is still the worst, there isn't such a concentration of plops in one area. Fortunately that means some days EP is bearable, unfortunately that means that those plop-stains are polluting the rest of the game. Lucky they come into contact with a lot more people who won't stand for their behavior instead of being reinforced and encouraged by like minds in the plop pot that EP had been.

Unfortunately, I can't give an informed opinion of AD as I haven't made it all the way through it yet. I'm trying though!

As far as the other two...I kind of love them both. EP has this amazing fantastical, mythical looking alien type world early on with what I first thought were floating octopuses/octopi? (gotta love a netch). Then you go to another land with plants that look like they breathe. With each zone you encounter, it gets more and more 'normal' looking. I enjoy the story line, but I think the king should make an appearance way before he does. What I don't love about EP??? Shadowfen and lamias. I do not like swampy areas either in real life or anywhere else I can think of. And lamias just CREEP me out! Take a look at one. It looks like a cat crossed with a snake crossed with a lizard. No thank you!!!

DC...It's got more of a King Arthur type feel to me. Since Camelot was one of the few literary things I enjoyed from high school all those years ago, choosing that faction is like slipping into something comfortable and familiar. The landscape is beautiful in all three factions, but the woodsy forest type of place is somewhere I could actually find myself. And I also have a huge crush on High King Emeric. He has just enough humility and humor to make him seem like he could be a real person, but he's not a simpering fool.
