Crash on "play"

Malitias

Hey there. I've downloaded and installed ESO again and, as the title suggests, when I hit the Play button I get a black screen and a crash message.
I have no idea what to do. Tried repair, reinstall and drivers are fresh as well.

The crash report:

====================================================================
eso has stopped working.

That has absolutely nothing to do with it. I can't even get to the login screen.
Also, check when I created this post.

Fraps used to cause this for me but that's since resolved itself on my machine.

There were some crash issues recently where doing windows updates etc. helped solve it, not sure if that's worth searching/looking into.

Not using fraps and I've already updated everything. Thanks for the reply though.

Repair the game too, update all addons you use also.

Repaired like 5 times already and reinstalled the whole thing as well.
    I'm not using any addons.

Guess I'll give it up. If the devs want to make money they first need to make a game that is actually working. Serious issues with the launcher and client have been existing since the very beginning. Maybe they should put a higher priority on creating a game that is actually playable. I'm kinda infuriated and disappointed I bought this game.

Repair the game again, then find the 64 bit exe and put it on your taskbar and run from there, the game is playable, but the stopped working error does happen to many people, including myself here and there.

    Are your drivers updated also?

    Good luck

If you receive a Fatal Error from the ESO Launcher, you should run a repair on your game files.

In addition, you can repair the files for The Elder Scrolls Online on your computer by following the steps below.

    Repair the ESO Launcher

1.Open The Elder Scrolls Online Launcher by right-clicking on the icon on the desktop and selecting Run as Administrator.
2.Wait for the launcher to open completely.
3.If multiple ESO clients are installed and available through the launcher, make sure you have the correct version highlighted by clicking on it once.
4.Open the Game Options dropdown menu and click on the option for Repair.
5.Allow the launcher to examine all the files for the game. This may take some time.
6.If any files are found to have problems, the launcher will re-download those files.

    Delete the ESO Launcher Folder

•PC: Go to the Launcher folder and delete it.
◦You can find this by default at C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\Launcher.

    Download new ESO Launcher

Once you have deleted the folder, download the ESO Launcher from your account management page to reinstall it. You can do this by logging in to your account on our website and clicking the Download Game button on the page for your appropriate platform.

Is this some sort of automated response? It better be, because in the very first post I said I have tried repairing, which you should have read before posting, right? In fact I have tried it multiple times without any success.
There is only one ESO available, which is the one I have installed. I have deleted the complete game with launcher and reinstalled it as well. Same issue. Tried the repair thing again, but, again, with no success.
And I am of course always running as admin. I also tried both the 32 and 64 bit client.

Is this a laptop by chance? Based on the graphics card I assume it is.

If it is, you probably have a built in Intel graphics. If you do, then you need to find out what type it is (probably 4600).

Once you identify type of integrated Intel graphics, download and install the latest driver (if you haven't).

It appears you're running Windows 7, SP1 64 bit. Here's the intel driver.

If so, then check this thread out:

I have not been able to play ESO for almost 2 months now.
I have been trying to log in every day and still cannot even get to the opening screen. I have tried to login on a friend's computer and it works. I can login just fine which means it probably has something to do with my computer and the server connecting correctly. It keeps saying that ESO has unexpectedly stopped. I've uninstalled, reinstalled. I've tried repairing. I've dumped my add-ons. I have updated my drivers/Windows updates, etc. Firewall, anti-virus, and other things alike checked and rechecked, done and redone, over and over again. Nothing.

    Here's exactly what happens:
I click on the ESO icon on task bar.
    Launcher client opens fine.
I am receiving all ESO updates.
The game updates just fine all the way to 100%.
    I click the "Play" button.
    Screen starts to load.
    Full screen is black.
    ESO login music begins playing.
Full screen is still completely black, blinks a few times... then it flickers.
Then a small window immediately pops up. "We're sorry. ESO has unexpectedly crashed."
I can only exit the window.
    Back to desktop/ESO client launcher.
    Rinse and repeat. Same thing.
    Cannot progress any further.
ESO has worked just fine in the past.

Please help or post if you have similar situation or any viable solutions. Thank you.
