VMA stam dk build

Hello

Looking for advice before going to farm sharpened VO weapons.

As a stam dk, is it better to go 5 Vo + 5 some set (I prefer TBS, dont like NMG or spriggans because I find noxious + sharpened to be more than enough penetration) + 2 Velidreth or 2 VMA sharpened daggers?

I am asking because farming 2 sharpened VMA daggers seems easier (I sound stupid, I know) than farming VO sharpened daggers.

Go for the vma daggers... now that they drop two 1 handed weapons at a time, you should find something useful sooner.

It seems to only be an issue in vma if you're hunting for a sharpened destro staff....

But is vma weapons-setup actually better than velidreth one?

Because I have a strong feeling that velidreth burst seems more useful for vMA clears than vma dagger enchant that empowers dots except flurry itself.

Run this....

velidreth 2 pc
mal daggers and mal bow
5 pc tbs/nmg/etc. etc.
3 piece VO

If you're more worried about sustain than extra damage... drop velidreth and fill in the armor spots with VO - so you're running 5-5 +mal weapons

I still hit 30k dps on the target skeleton with less than stellar rotation using 5 NMG + 5 VO + sharpened maelstrom daggers and bow.

I dunno I go NMG + 5 VO + 2 Veli.

I get 500-510k scores nothing amazing but I find it's easier to over pen then to worry about placement issues with nox breath sometimes but that's me personally.

My current set up is 2 kragh,5 spriggan,5 vo *my weapon damage is 3040 unbuffed *3.5k with crit surged* I changed it to 2 maelstrom dagger (main hand is nirn off hand is sharpened) 5 two fanged, 5 VO. Total weapon damage unbuff is 3451 *4003 with crit surge* and guess what my previous set still out DPS it even with 500 more weapon damage. My rapid strikes ticks 150-200 more damage on my old set up and then kragh procs like 1.5k-2kish per tick so that's additional dps. Only advantage of the maelstrom is the single target dot buff for bloodcraze its 4K tick (without maelstrom buff) 6k (with maelstrom buff) I'll take the kragh over the buffed bloodcraze

*i thought maelstrom dual wield also buffs rapid strikes well I guess not after testing it on a skelly dummy*

That's a matter of personal preference. But the question isn't TBS vs NMG vs Spriggans.

I am asking about Monster (Velidreth most preferably) vs maelstrom weapons.

Meh I've seen no difference during my score runs on vma weapons or monster helms.

Nothing notable anyway.

I'd be using veli over vma weapons.

Giving up veli is a bad idea and not having 5 vo is an even worse idea.
Just use hundings + vo + veli
Tbs is a *** set for vma

So, in your opinion, it is really bad idea to give up veli FOR maelstrom daggers?

Can you please be more specific on that? What are the pros and cons when using Velidreth over MSA daggers?

Yes that ms what i want to say.

Vma is all about burst as most stuff doesnt live long enough to matter. And veli is just the best burst set you have in pve.

Vma daggers aren't worth it for short fights. They are useless for everything but bosses and even at bosses they are less effective than having a monsterset or another full 5 piece.

Meh as I stated it comes down to your state of play, I see zero difference between these choices in homestead patch.

Veli or vMA daggers is a bit of a MEH.

It comes down to what you generally "feel" is easier from your point of view tbh.
