Nutshotz✭✭✭✭So OP is calling for a nerf to the extra damage from stealth we nightblades get. Ok. I can dig his frustration especially when a stamblade opens up with HA, PI, ambush [procing viper and vele/selene/tremor] than incap. I really feel your pain. The issue I have with that is you're gonna gimp magblades even more. Magblades already suffer with lack of damage on skills and skills not scaling on max spell damage or max magicka, unlike the stamblades or the other class's.
Now I'll throw this out there just for a shitts and giggles. If they nerf [if] that passive. Than I'd like to see shields critable, [let the sorcs and DK's cry on that one] jesus beam lose its scaling power @ 300% and sorcs lose wrath as an execute.
This is a nerf thread right?
It's not hard to counter gankers. I play a magblade and I get ganked in stealth from other stealthers. It's a mere L2P, and adapt to the game and learn not call for a nerf cuz you can't figure out how to counter it when in fact a ton of people have stated how to counter it.

Its what makes the class unique and allows players to find a playstyle. You on the other hand are DETERMINED to water down the game to suit YOUR needs and complaints. Just not gonna happen man.

I have an idea, make everyone the same class and only be able to use your fists or sticks and stones that you can by from NPC vendors. I guess someone would complain that another player may have a bigger stick or can throw a rock faster. Come on, they are nerfing this game to death because of crybabies and it is making the game less and less enjoyable to play. I used to play almost 12 hours a day (retired) now I may get on for maybe, 2 hours a day because of all the nerfing, and crying.1 -

1) Make every skill identical across every class and all skills do/block 1 point of damage.
Let's get this over with so all the pvp'rs just stop the whole "I want a nerf" parade.
Every buff, every nerf, every change to the game is because ZOS "listened to the pvp community" about some gripe. This doesn't just impact pvp, however, it impacts everyone that is playing the game. Every single person, because these nerfs are across the board TO everyone.
PVP has it's own skills, own armor it can get/farm, its own point system, that pve'rs don't have get access. This, in and of itself, is fine until you get the whole "well you don't have this pvp skill so we won't let you do dungeons with us" people. It's all fine until you see that every build you see on youtube by theory crafters utilizes PVP skills because they are more powerful, do more damage, buff better, than pve skills.
RPG's were never meant to have PVP. The mechanic of a holy-trinity where each class compliments the others makes the game DESIGNED where there is no parity between classes. ZOS, and many other companies, have tried to implement a system of parity into a game designed to NOT have it. There will NEVER be parity in an RPG until they make every class, every race, every skill, every weapon, a cookie cutter clone of each other. At that point, the RPG is dead. It's now just another shooter, another hack-fest, for pvp'rs to play and get bored with before moving to the next RPG to destroy.
For pve'rs like myself, who at almost 50 years old have played every RPG out there worth playing, both single player game and MMO, I've witnessed this same cycle over and over for decades. The only people who lose out are the companies that continually try to nerf/tweak their game to satisfy pvp'rs and the pve'rs that just want a good RPG to enjoy.2 -

When I do have to venture into Cyrodiil for Skyshards or to craft a specific set of gear for someone, and I get seen by an enemy player, do you know what I do?
I sit in a chair and just let them wail away til I die, they T-bag me to prove how large their e-peen's are, then I respawn at a wayshrine/fort and try to make it to the crafting station again.
ZERO interest in the PvP side for me.

Even if NBs were nerfed down to be the weakest class, I'd still play as one. I always choose the stealthiest class/job/skills in games as opposed to magic-based or brawny builds.2 -

Just like the NBs do in Cyrodil all day every day. Its not the damage bonus I have issue with, its the invisibility. 'Stealth' is one thing (camouflage or being HARD to see) but going totally invisible in mid-fight is just idiotic.

It's because the OP is incorrect. It's not a NB design but game design. Everyone tests a boost to damage for skills used when in stealth though some skills cannot be executed from stealth.
Additionally, there are means to mitigate damage from stealth attacks. All of this pointed out in this thread.

Iskrasfemme✭✭✭✭One of the rare advantages that NBs have is the surprise attack with large DPS. I tired of listening and reading from NBs with much experience, complaints about the fragility of their defenses. I understand that it is frustrating for many to have something 'gank' however, I think we should think more about classes, methods of fighting in 1x1 (or not) when dealing with good NBs.
In short, I am radically against any change for the worse for NBs, they deserve the high DPS to be able to even guarantee their survival in game.

✭✭✭✭✭The most damage I've ever seen from a stealth attack was a 15K bow attack. Most ambush are 7-10k, maybe as high as 15 K IF I get it just right.
I've been hit by Destro ult for 15K to 20K from one player and I've had Crystal frag hit me for 20K.

✭What a stupid rant. People who claim that stealthers play "without skill" are just those who don't have the skill themselves to deal with it. Here's an idea -- use radiant magelight to cut damage from stealth in half. Be alert. Use damage shields and/or elude and/or immovable to increase resists. Etc. etc. etc.
Validating it by saying that you have 2 NBs is pointless. I have 3 NB (1 stamina, 1 magicka, 1 tank) and 6 other max-level characters. So yeah, I see it from both sides. Anybody who thinks that a gank from stealth is a sure thing is just plain simple-minded and wrong.
Crouch, cloak, charge a heavy attack, surprise attack, maybe proc set, dead, now tell me where is the skill in this.
How is the other player supposed to react if you don;t see him, the only way to avoid a gank is if you saw the dude before he went into stealth, that's it, you can't counter something if you can't even see it coming.
Mage light is procd 24/7 as long as its on ur bar. And btw when im wandering around in cyrodil i always have my spell and physical resist buff up even if there is nobody around gotta play it safe.
Also go heavy armor if u have getting 3 shot

It's useless in pve, and it's cancerous in pvp, this "skill" literally adds nothing good to the game, it only icentivize unskillfull playing, and cancerous builds.
I wonder what would happen if all the nb gankers got they're precious buff removed, and would be forced to actually play with skills.
And this comes from a guy that has 2 nb, one magicka and one stamina.
Edit: i think that some may have misunderstood which buff i'm talking about i apologize for that.
The buff that i'm talking about is not the passive from the assassination skilline Master assassin, i think that's perfectly fine, the buff that i'm talking about is the 250 % damage bonus that you get from crouch.
There is no NB ability that is at par, with any other class.
DK, = Defence, Reflect, Root.....Spaming Whip ( on Skelly Dummies, does 14k dps just spamming it)
Temp = insta heals to full health with some nice aoe damage
Sorc = Streak, Shields and spell that Dots, Stuns and nukes, with 1 click of a button
NB are the step child of ESO, and it is very sad.
So please do not say, we are "cancerous' in the game.
If we go full leather or even 5 piece, we are very squishy.
If we go 5 Heavy we Nerf our damage.

austinwalter87ub17_ESO✭✭✭✭✭The issue is incap. I've seen one NB take out 3 people with ease with incaps alone. Ganking doesn't take skill in ESO. Crouch, engage, they die, cloak, and go again. Incap combo on each target. The combo is easy to learn and easy to pull off.
In other mmos you couldn't restealth and engage nearly as easily with your best skills available. DAOC? If you broke stealth and didn't succeed in assassination. You rarely got away.PC and PS4 (bring back character transfers please?)

I remeber, couple months maybe year ago, there was this thread about "nerf DK, DK's OP" (DK in that time were in the worst spot in everything except for tanking) because author of this thread cloaked, didn't moved and got hit my fire breath(or whatever) and died to DoT.
Find a way to counter something and dammit use it to protect yourself from this "OP" ability/tactic.1 -

✭✭✭Always funny listening to people who predominantly play NB making out they're hard done to and that the rest of us should get over ourselves. About time some of them took their own advice onboard. Every single piece of abuse I have received in this game has come from duelling and defeating NB's. Some of the nastiest pieces of work in the game when you actually do counter their crouch and disappearing into ball of smoke tactics. So much so, I no longer duel any NB. That still doesn't even stop the abuse because you then get inundated with whispers telling you you're chicken ***, a *** etc.
