Suddenly all the bizarre decisions that seem to favor marketing over gameplay can be seen in a different light. Except that some of those decisions lose more money then they gain due to frustrated players, people who would love to spend more Crowns on what they want but it's just not for sale.

Maintenance is something you do routinely to help prevent unexpected downtime like this.

Ehhhh, not exactly. There's regular scheduled maintenance, and then there's emergency maintenance.
It's like how with a car you do oil changes as part of your regular scheduled maintenance, but if you're driving and get a flat tire you change the tire as an emergency maintenance.
And then if something's actually broken (like your carburetor died, or you were in an accident or something), you do a fix (ie. the equivalent of doing things like making code changes to fix what isn't working properly).

Care to explain what's going on with the servers? What's causing the issue?
Here's my history with ZOS.
Unless it was a third party issue, they'll never tell us
And it seems players have been *conditioned* to simply accept that we won't be told - that goes for a lot of things.
There will even be *fanbois* who will tell you to 'quit your whining', 'take a walk' or whatever.. It's as if Zenny is beyond being transparent or being held accountable.
Many of us who play are not 10 year old kids - We are adults often in long term professions, IT, science, Law, marketing, retail and every other profession you can think of, or students and many other things.
I still dont know why we are getting 'conditioned' like this.

From wiktionary, "maintenance" is defined chiefly as "Actions performed to keep some machine or system functioning or in service."
If you're going to be a semantic pedant, at least have the decency to be right.

You guys do realize that this is pretty much how every large company works, right?

The lag has been an issue since launch. I was in the middle of a Maelstrom run with one of my best scores and you just bent me over once again. About ready to pull my funding on this game.
Yeah, I feel the same. The thing is, there are hordes of people on this forum that deny these problems altogether. I started a thread about the problems I was having and loads of people turned up and told me it must be my fault!

Because they have a bottleneck problem. To many people are playing all at once. It will not be fixed. EVER. There. The truth is out. Find something else to do on Saturday night.

perhaps try the steps that were suggested earlier with renewing the ip & flushing dns...I believe restart was needed too?
