Yeah she's not responsible for whatever is happening, and is taking time on a weekend to give updates. Last person at ZOS anyone should be mad at, but "don't punish/shoot/kill the messenger" is a very old expression.

Maintenance is what you do to keep from having all these "Houston, we have a problem" issues. This is not "Maintenance". This is "Our stuff is breaking down without notice."
Glad to clear that up.
It's like how with a car you do oil changes as part of your regular scheduled maintenance, but if you're driving and get a flat tire you change the tire as an emergency maintenance.
And then if something's actually broken (like your carburetor died, or you were in an accident or something), you do a fix (ie. the equivalent of doing things like making code changes to fix what isn't working properly).

Some of us haven't been able to connect to the server for 7+ hours with the only response being that it is due to too many people trying to log in at once - I was talking to friends on Steam chat who were happily logging in and out of the game during that time, yet there was no acknowledgement of the problem some of us were having connecting to the server other than to say to wait a bit - but then still couldn't log in after several hours, and no new info or just saying "we're aware of the problem".
So yeah, any info, any news, even if it is bad news, is better than nothing. Sorry that you are having to do this on a weekend.

It's two separate sets of characters, your characters on NA will not be available on EU, and any characters you create on EU will not be available on NA.0 -

I disagree with the age thing. Im 54 and have played and programmed games since before there were hard drives. But you're spot on about quality vs the bottom line. Too many companies figure that if they arent making uber profits, it's a fail and forget that a business runs a 2% margin for profits is successful.

This kind of stuff happens. There is no guarantees with writing code - they aren't just taking things off the shelf and selling them to us - they are creating the systems and writing the code for the game as they go. There are so many moving parts to it there is no way that issues like this won't happen. They are working on it and communicating w us.
The world they have made in there is so creative and vast and fun. I find new awesome things in there every day - like have you ever had a river troll start attacking you by chucking a mudcrab at you? And then the mudcrab turns around and fights w you against the troll. lol
I'm an ESO and a ZOS fan and just wanted to say thanks for what you do and for getting these issues worked out.

Well as I said many many times on the forum, I was getting "Could not retrieve announcements" on the login page, and Error 200 "Login Failed" - haven't been able to log in at all since I got DC'd before the maintenance earlier today, about 8 hours ago.
I have had no connection to the server whatsoever for the last 8 hours.

It wasn't construed as hate, it was a blatant act of cowardly censorship. Emailing the board of directors of a company is a perfectly civil, legal, and advisable thing to do if you are unsatisfied with the way the company runs. This isn't hate, it isn't activism, just simple life.1 -

@ZOS_MattFiror maybe if your company cared more about delivering a quality product than milking every dollar out of us. The game would run alot smoother.
I disagree with the age thing. Im 54 and have played and programmed games since before there were hard drives. But you're spot on about quality vs the bottom line. Too many companies figure that if they arent making uber profits, it's a fail and forget that a business runs a 2% margin for profits is successful.

You are probably right. These names are public information, and as most people can see. None of these have any experience in the gaming industry.
There was no intention of causing hate, but I can see the original was deleted. So maybe it is being construed as that.

They remain untouched. I've had characters on both serves since launch (even though I only actually play on NA, since I briefly experimented with playing on both), and they're completely separate in every way. Click on server, then select EU.
if I log on to the EU server, will it affect my NA alts in any way? Are my NA alts still perserved or am I locked in to EU now?

yes your NA toons will be as safe as they can be on the NA server
when you leave your EU toons to go back to NA server, the EU toons will be as safe as they can be on the EU server

It is 2 separate sets of characters... NA characters do not exist and are not altered in any way by playing on EU.0 -

Doing logging out bring me a new message, i dont remember well, but was saying that if i decided to do force quit to leave the game, my character would stay online.
Never had that before.
