You do know zos monitors the server performance they know when lag is happing on server side, they can't speak for others connections of low-end computers or video cards, that's not their problem.
I have heard from large groups of friends last night that the server performance was much better, guess it depends on where your at.
Maybe it is because a lot more people are playing for the double AP creating more load of people instead of less CP ......
Nothing will be known until the weeks test results are provided to us .....
Hint, Hint ZOS ..... please let us know the test results and your findings .....

Its not any hard data, but my experience on Ps4 pro is: no lag (skills function the moment i use them), but fps drops down to 15-20 fps in large battles.
So my conclusion so far (personal based): it does reduce lag, but consoles cant handle large battles (fps). Maybe it has to do something with the Server, but it feels more like a Hardware issue
I think many people make the assumption : Bad fps = lag, for me these are 2 different, but maybe the fps is Bad cuz of lag, I dont know about such things.
There are frame lags AND connection lags. Sometime the game disconnects in huge battles but lags (resulting into skill delays, e.g. your skill activates 3, 4 seconds later than you pressed the button) are also occurring when I am playing solo (XBox). I recently got many disconnects when doing Dolmens, even when I am alone or only 2-3 people are there. So it's not only console power that causes problems, the ESO servers are just bad. Really bad.
None of the issues is PC or console exclusive. The problems occur on every platform and on every server.
How do you know :O You gather data on your own?I notice less lag on PC EU (not that it means anything).
Good thing there are hard data and no one looks on forums for people's "opinions" of technical issues, because we players usually talk gibberish lel. Some players think it's "way more lag" because FPS drops- in 50v50 zerg battle.
I gather(ed) data on my own, yes. I played on PC, PS4 and then switched to XOne. I had lags on every platform and on every server. And I am 100% sure that it's not my connection because I can play every other game without lags. It's pretty easy to come to this conclusion and everybody who states he / she never experienced any lags or issues is a) playing very early in the morning when only few players are only and the server load is not much or b) never played PvP. Nobody who ever was in Cyrodiil for more than 5 minutes and participated in huge sieges can tell me that they never experienced any lags, let it be frame or latency issues. Some of the problems are so present and even acknowledged by ZOS that everybody who's saying “I don't have any problems at all“ is lying or just spending a minimal time in ESO / Cyrodiil.

Well it definitely isn't a problem on my end, and all I had was lag

Please tell me your method of data gathering. Can you show us some hard data you collected? That would be great.
Look, there will always be FPS drop in 50v50 zergs battles, what ZOS is trying to find out about is the massive lagspike that affects the whole server even though you are in the middle of nowhere.

Hmm,, when I got on after 130+ There was a ton of lag at Ash, with all sides fighting, I didn't know if my skills wear going out half the time
