Just one note. Not sure if the maps were fixed on the PS & Xbox. Think patch yesterday was only on PC unless I misread the patch notes for all 3. Not sure if they had a chance to update the code which went live with the patch. For those who had no success mention which platform you on as only seem confirmation for PC that the bug was fixed.

I did about 40 treasure maps and got only one painting for my effort. So I think Gina needs to ammend the patch notes to read: "Treasure chests found by following treasure maps now have a small miniscule chance to contain painting furnishings. Or, when hell freezes over."

I don't understand why anyone cares about this. Am I totally overlooking something? You can just wander around and find paintings in regular chests. I'm just giving away duplicates at this point and I certainly don't farm chests, just run into them farming heartwood.

I opened a lot of treasure map chests yesterday (spread across EU and NA server). I got one painting on EU and zero on NA. The one painting I got was with a character with treasure hunter passive.

No passive for me but one of mine did obtain through doing a treasure map the one called Spring. Rare I suppose, nbut they are there.

Used 70 maps, 0 paintings. Also it looks like Treasure Hunter passive doesn't work at all on treasure map chests because I'm getting 0 purple items.

I went through 30 Treasure Maps last night. Results? Only 1 epic (large winter themed) painting.
For the first 10 maps I forgot to turn on the Treasure Hunter passive. I presume it influences the loot rng.
So for now I'm expecting 5% drop rate.
Will go though more maps soon though.
Sad part was that I expected to have a ton of paintings after the roam, but had only 1 at the end.
Good part, an Inferno sharpened of the Sun Staff... worth about 150k. So there's that.

PS: yea, I confirm that "positively, absolutely, no doubt, yes i just did it, found one" ... but only one.

I know the patch notes said the maps we get with the collector's edition will not drop paintings (I still have a bunch of those).

I have a bunch of maps sitting in my bank and on one of my mules. When I read the map chests were not dropping paintings, I held onto my maps.

I haven't tried opening any of the map chests yet to find out if they contain paintings because I'm honestly afraid to waste the maps.

Extremely poor or nonexistent. I went through and used up my 30 some treasure maps I had saved for this patch update and got nada. I know of two other friends with similar ideas who also got nothing from the treasure maps. It's pretty likely that they forgot to switch it on. Honestly wouldn't surprise me, since they seem to mostly be fixing stuff on paper these days and not so much in actuality.

Compared to the droprate from normal chests there is definitely a huge disparity, which is odd when you'd think a treasure map chest should in fact have a higher chance. It would seem logic isn't really a part of this equation.

Lol, I get treasure maps all the time, I gave away over 100 before housing. On top of that I sell about 4 or 5 per day in traders.

@runagate People who have had just as bad of luck with normal treasure chests care about this

Khajiit managed to find one painting previously in a non map chest. This one she believes it was in Hew's Bane. It now hangs in the Guild Hall yes.

This one she used about ten of the maps of much treasure last evening and found nothing of worth or note - why do they not replace those malachite shards with some heartwood perhaps?

Khajiit has some more maps but is saving them for a large scale treasure hunt with guildies sometime.

I'm glad to hear that they are at least dropping. I had gone through half my maps before I found out they were bugged.

Did the remaining dozen or so maps (minus 3 Cyrodiil maps) yesterday, but no luck.

On the plus side, character #4 is about half-way to the 1000 treasure chest achievement.
