Has anyone actually got a treasure map painting?

I also got 1 painting from doing 4 treasure maps earlier. I suppose I could be incredibly lucky, but I doubt it.

Anyone know the going rate on a poor immigrant from Vvardenfell to collect treasure maps for me? I have well over a hundred of them and have no motivation to do it, but it does seem like I am officially out of excuses... Haha

26 zones, 6 to 8 maps each zone, Cyrodiil having like 15, that is 156 to 210 unique maps. It is conceivable to have 100 maps on one character. Now, with RNG being what it is, and I speak from experience, when you get over 50 to 60 maps, it's rare to get a unique one. True, but somehow I can't ever seem to collect more than about 9 or 10 before I have a duplicate that I can't store on the character/in the bank where I have my other maps...

I can't confirm personally @SirAndy, but I have a friend in Lone Wolf that I trust, who knows the difference between treasure MAP chests and random chests, and who has stated he found a painting in a treasure map chest today.

Because the title of the post is: "Has anyone actually gotten a treasure map painting?". Are words really so hard to figure out?

Half of those replies I quoted (and I didn't even get them all) were people saying they found them. I specifically said I found them. People just need to work on their reading comprehension skills.

I have gotten paintings from treasure chests , especially in the IC, but I still haven' t gotten a painting from a hidden treasure chest that I have found from using a treasure map. I opened 40 chests today and then gave up and put the rest of my maps in my shop. The RNG must suck if it is truly fixed.

After opening 70 treasure map chests i have come to the conclusion that these chests are inferior to advanced & master level zone chests.
I also received 1 painting from70 maps.....
In future i will probably sell these maps for a few hundred gold as they are not worth the trouble...

That is pretty much the conclusion I came to. I did 40 maps, got no paintings, and sold the rest.

rng favored you. because i opened about the same amount of chests (going for the same achievement) and got... 4 paintings. 2 small, one medium and one large. and i got lucky with a LOT of advanced and a number of master chests.

edited to add.. and now to see if rng still hates me, and grab all the rest of my treasure maps.

update. no paintings. rng still hates me. but hey, i managed to get 7 heartwood while running between all the maps so my sorc got her new bookcase. and a ton of stuff for decon, naturally. all in all - I may have as well not waited to use the maps until after patch, since result, for me at least - is essentially the same.

Well, i do a 70 chest run in Grahtwood (as i said, i'm after decisive green pact daggers) at least 3x a day. Sure, some chests aren't there each time but the most part of them are so i can even round that down to 150 chests minimum in a day and sometimes i get none, every once in a while i'll get one on a run but i've only ever had 2 maximum in the one chest run so in all the chests you've opened, getting 20 is pretty much how many i should be getting every day and i'm getting none some days. Bearing in mind for some reason, there are a lot more Advanced and Master chests since the last patch, maybe there should be closer to the figures you're quoting but i'm judging from doing thousands of chests, not just 230.

Keep me posted because i'm curious to know how much more success you have

p.s. i take it you use the treasure hunter passive and if not, this is even more weird.

I've been getting nothing but paintings in Master and Advanced treasure chests in Craglorn for the past week, even duplicates. I have at least 2 of Crags, Summer, Spring, Bridges and lakes I believe it's called. This is all within the last 7 days. By comparison, I've only found 1 Ra Da gada motif page in those chests.
