    That's amazing! Good for you!
    in marketing,

    Ah.

There's a real life "lore" and language outside of ESO.

In that real life lore, there's an ancient language known as Latin.

In Latin, "cumma sum laude" does not exist.

It's written: "***_ summa laude" instead and it means (more or less): "with a big praise".

I had to add a _ because there's some profanity checker which confuses Latin with swear words :(

I heard from a reliable source that players who are Argonian or Khajit automaticly get chained and transported to a slave camp upon entering Vvardenfell. Other players can then go to auctions and buy the other player and have them as slaves so they can harvest resources and clean their houses.

Even people who are not one of the beastraces but have a beast-alt or have ever played as beastrace will be enslaved.

The Dunmer may have kept Argonians and Khajiit as slaves, however, I don't think their allies in the Ebonheart Pact support such behavior. As such (and considering one of the beast races is part of their alliances) I don't think we'll see any slavery going on in Morrowind. Although we may see references to it.

Although I don't think the agents of the "Twin Lamps" where active 700 years before Morrowind but I could be wrong. The ancient robin hood like thievesguild "Bal Molagmer" also played part in opposing slavery. They vanished early in the Third Era and since ESO takes part in the second era (correct me if wrong) de Bal Molagmer are active.

    So that means:

    - thievesguild quests in Morrowind could be stealing from the wealthy and give to poor
    - Oppose slavery / free slaves as Bal Molagmer

No one here is disagreeing that slavery is a terrible, terrible thing.

But... have you ever played Grand Theft Auto? How about Assassin's Creed? Thief? How about just about any shooter game that pits you against human opponents? How about in ESO: have you done the Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild DLCs? How about doing the daedric quests in other TES games, like the one in Skyrim where you trick a priest into being a sacrifice for Molag Bal, or the one centered around cannibalism?

Gaming is an escape and an outlet for some people. So, it often includes the ability to do things that you would never do in real life.

Personally, I'm a roleplayer and a lore nerd. I want slavery around, because it exists in the world and has directly impacted two of my characters (One is an ex-slave, while another had slaves growing up and isn't so sure about that now). If one of my characters was of a more traditionalist Dunmer mindset, yeah, I'd probably want to give them the chance to own slaves too. Having slavery be a present element in the game gives you further ways to interact with the world on its terms.

No one here is arguing that slavery isn't a repugnant system and it's tragic that it still exists in the real world today. We're talking about something that is lore-appropriate to a video game world that tends to border the Dark Fantasy genre. Like with GTA or Assassin's Creed, or any other video game that gives you the ability to do awful things, doing things in a video game, against programmed pixels, is a far cry from supporting those things in real life.

    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

(Signature idea shamelessly stolen from Abeille.)

I'm sure there will be slavery through the quests, especially those dirty argonians.
But I very much doubt you'll be able to own slaves. There's nothing in game you could really do with them anyway.

Get them to make your Canis Root tea.

Anyways, I do doubt that they will actually allow you to buy slaves as ZO$ seems to pander to the 'easily offended' audience, but it would be amazing if they did. Speaking of the easily offended, where is @ZOS on this thread? Remember, according to ZOS's comments on my closed threads, TES lore is too "disturbing" and "inappropriate" for a TES forum (even though slavery was depicted in the latest Morrowind trailer). And then, after they said to reach out to a mod for more information, they never responded. I used to defend ZOS, but I can't anymore.

I am not trying to derail this thread, so I will close by saying that an argonian slave assistant would be awesome.

You could buy slaves in the original Morrowind, this was pretty pointless as they just followed you around and attacked enemies with their hand while wearing rags so they died fast.
With mods you could put them in your house and they would walk around. You could also give them gear and tell them to stand guard.
You could buy other slaves than Khajiit or Argonians but they was rares
For the player to buy slaves for any other reason than to free them they would have to implement an system with npc in houses and that would be easier fixed another way.
Slaves outside of Morrowind would be restricted to Khajiit in the two Dumer zones, it might well be other restrictions to.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

In Morrowind you had an option to buy slaves and then release them, so the were free. There was even a hidden oraginstion with quest line called "Twin Lamps" that goal was to free slaves.

There are already slave NPC's in the part of Morrowind we got in the game, plus a few quests revolving around some slave NPC's.

I'm sure Vvardenfell part of Morrowind will at least have some slave NPC's in the background, no idea if they will have more quests or not since.
