Still no paintings from treasure maps?

Seems like this would be a pretty simple fix, of all things, but here we are two patches later and nothing. Most people still don't even know it was supposed to be a feature, but those of us that do have been hoarding our maps. What gives?

Now that is most unfair!

This one she has also many many maps of the treasure. So many in the bank that the banker keeps warning they will attract the mice - delicious mice! Khajiit does not understand why she is not pleased about this.

For some reason khajiit she does not store the maps at home ...

Perhaps there is some complication we do not know about? Perhaps the chests are just too small for the paintings they have commissioned yes?

Anyway this one she also wishes this could be fixed. Khajiit needs to pose as a wealthy art dealer in order to access a fine and well stocked property in Daggerfall.

Every locked chest and treasure chest has a chance. I've found quite a few, one last night in a simple locked chest in VRoM. There is something odd about treasure chests - I've managed to find a Ra Gada motif page in a treasure chest ... in Grahtwood. Weren't those supposed to drop just in Craglorn chests?

I found one in a Treasure Chest yesterday; but I think the question here isn't general Treasure Chests but rather those you find with a Treasure Map and if so I'm inclined to agree this is a very simple fix. However I thought storage and display racks for armour/weapons in Homestead would be simple so what do I know.

They are not dropping from the chests that spawn from treasure maps. It's a confirmed issue.

The team seems pretty competent to me, which is why I was confused as to why this particular issue was taking so long with no word.

We have most ingenious idea here, paint small painting of big painting to put in chest to then bring to shady dealer to get big painting! More paintings for everyone!

PSA, when handling precious paintings keeps claws in.

On topic: no they haven't been fixed, so built up those reserves and wait for the renaissance of the Tamriel art world.

So you are saying hey are quite literally a meal ticket?

More of a crunchy snack ticket perhaps? Khajiit cannot live on bank mice alone.

Anyway a little grilled mouse or two is not ample compensation for the profit that khajiit could have made in the meantime posing as a successful art dealer with no need to look in any wardrobes or cupboards at all yes.

I counted my maps today and I have 80 saved up ... May not sound like a lot, but it's a big deal in a game with very limited inventory slots.

ZOS plz fix this so we can go on our treasure map/painting spree ... ;__;

I've found three painting in regular chests thus far. Where does it say that Treasure Map chests are supposed to yield paintings? If true, I'd like to see this fixed as well. I have a few banked maps as well.

They've said they are working on a fix and were expecting it to be ready for the latest patch but couldn't get it done in time.

I have no idea why it's so difficult but I know enough about computers to understand that just because something is a minor change or looks quick and easy doesn't mean it is. Knowing that maps appear in one type of treasure chests and not in the other is like knowing your car makes a rattling noise when you go over 30mph. It tells you what's wrong, but not what's causing it or how to fix it.

i have a sneaking suspicion that originally it was an oversight but now they are stalling because there will be so many people using their maps when it's fixed that it will flood the market. so they want to keep them rare for now. fix it later when paintings have become a "cool but no biggie" thing. like older motifs

Just doesn't seem like it should be that hard. Grab item codes and add them to the loot table for Treasure Map chests along with a % chance.

Yes I know. Just thought the chests might have been bugged too, after opening large amounts of chests since the homestead patch and finding nothing related to housing, until after the latest maintenance.
