For a while now, I've wondered about attribute points and how boring the current meta makes use of attributes. You know, like putting all 64 points into one attribute? Boring right? So I came up with this. An attribute talent system! The goal of this system is to help establish a wall between pure and hybrid builds to allow a seperation for balancing. This system, would give you certain passive abilitys and attributes, at reaching certain points of an attribute tree.
ex: 12 points in magicka, may give 5% boost in recovery. 48 points may have a special action that triggers off another.
To make it short, pure magicka builds, can recieve strong boosts to pure builds, while keeping hybrid style boosts that complement each other lower in the attribute tree. Perhaps, if a magicka user, would like to have more active defense, they can run 44 magicka, and 24 stamina, or someone who wants to be able to take more damage, run 44 magicka/24 health. By developing a diminishing return system for the ammount of pure stat you get for putting all your points in one tree should be implemented, giving the lower points in the tree, more pure stats, than higher values, much alike the champion system.
Ex. Lets say 64 points in magicka, gives us 6400 magicka for the examples sake to make the math easy. That means, every point in magicka, is 100 magicka with the current system. With the new system, the first 32 points would give you more magicka than the last 32 points. Say the first 10 points in magicka may give you 160 magicka, while the final 20 or so points may only give you 80 magicka.
This is a pretty complex idea, that I came up with just for fun, so I didn't take a lengthy ammount of time to explain this, and I highly doubt Zeni will even consider this due to the difficulty of implementing it, but I just thought I'd post it for fun to see what others think.
