The elitism has gotten way to out of hand in this game lately, sometimes I want to quit.

Well before this discussion on CP there was Elitism; it was who is max VR level. It is what it is. One option is to be more proactive and start your own groups and run with friendly guilds; there are plenty of people in this game that just want to enjoy themselves and are not seeking to be King of the Hill so to speak for every little thing.

Dude... Just... No. There's no reason needed to call someone a peasant, and try to belittle a person over a video game. No. That's not right, bruh. And while I too have issues with a few 'casual-oriented things' (I just recently actually made a thread about my dislike for bow builds), I don't go about intentionally trying to make others feel beneath me. Nor do I go about calling others peasants. I have all earnable skins (outside of the IC skin dropped from Molag Bal), have Flawless Conqueror and all other titles (save for Dro-m'Athra Destroyer), BIS gear for days, and so on. But still. That does NOT entitle me to think I'm so supreme to others and can treat them as if they're lesser beings. Chill on that, b. It's uncalled for. And honestly? It doesn't belong here on the forums.

Was actually talking from an elitist point of view, in which case "peasant" is completely appropriate. Personally, I have no opinion about the OP beyond the fact that he's a whiner fishing for approval and refusing to provide details or any reason as to why his dislike of elitists is so prominent.

It does seem that way (that they are little kids) with the way many of these CP Elitist act. Unfortunately many of them are probably adults. Which is frightening.

In any case, I agree with your post. The elitism on this game is out of control and has been for some time. That is one reason I've been advocating that the developers change CP values to make them anonymous from other players. I believe this would help a lot. It's something they should do.

Unfortunately for those who play this game casually and rely on the dungeon-finder to complete content - avoiding these people are not an option. I encounter them almost on a daily basis. So it's impossible to not let it bother them unless they were to just stop using the dungeon-finder all-together. And that's not a reasonable solution.

It would be better to tell these so-called elitists (meaning those who believe they are entitled to play only with other players who have high CP values) that they are the ones who should stop using the dungeon-finder. And that they are the ones who should pick and choose their group members more carefully. After all, they are the picky ones.

I think there are some issues with grouping. I just came back on a new platform so started again and i think people are using dungeon finder to farm as fast as they can which is fine to do cause i have done it before but always make sure the people in the group know that mechanics and ask to see if they need to do the quest so i can wait for them to make sure they complete it. And for somebody like me now who has all green gear and zero CP and am doing the dungeons at the level appropiate from the design of the game originally and still need the quests, it pisses people off and they dont want to deal with it. The problem is they are messing up the community, returning players and new players. For instance, i dont think you should be using group finder unless you are not willing to take your time and atleast wait for people to do the quest and help new players. I love helping new players to a game or new players in general to MMOs.

People need to realize that there are many players in especially this MMO that dont even know basic mechanics like Aggro and CCs. I know i didnt my first MMO for a long time, i rolled a Tank cause i wanted to be like a Warrior type character, had zero clue what a Tank was or even DPS. Just wish more players were understanding and helpful

Saw this in wow a lot as you only had one vote kick.
They knew that if one was kicked they was safe so they was always quick with kicking somebody.
And yes the one kick only had an benefit, the next could be worse so you was careful kicking some who was a bit weak :)

However the bad experiences in wow was rare, kicked once, was with an group of idiots who had kicked first healer.
Some weird stuff like the guy who enter dungeon AfK, after we had kicked another for disconnect.
Heard lots of weird stories like getting kicked for being gnome, people who set themselves to follow healer and go AfK :)
But I guess its most like newspapers you get the extreme stuff.

So excuse me for failing to take you seriously unless you offer concrete and substantial proof that you've indeed been slighted and it's not just a childish tantrum to get some attention.

After reading your example: It's likely the OP was just asking if the group was having trouble finding a tank because the leader said they were going tankless . Therefore the OP could have just assumed they might have been having trouble finding one (maybe they had a friend who played a tank who might could help etc.) So unless you know otherwise, I don't really come away after reading this conversation that this was some tank trying to insert themselves into a DPS slot. It seems like the opposite to me, and that the OP was just trying to be helpful.

The "Rude Player" then assumes this player doesn't know the dungeon mechanics and in a very off-handed way dismisses them.

To be honest, I do think the "Rude Player" acted rudely here. I would certainly never entertain another request by this player after being treated like that. You can fault the OP for answering a Max CP request when they weren't, but that's about it. And even then, he did make that clear.
