[Bug?] Noticeable damage increase in trials

    I don't understand why ZOS forget almost every time to provide complete patch notes?

    Remember dual wield nerf? And there are so many other examples.

    I think @Asayre could help us in this matter instead of ZOS. My 5 guilds also felt the same ...an increased damage taken from mobs ..especially overland bosses and also in dungeon and trials.

    "The elemental status effect Concussed now applies Minor Vulnerability to enemies instead of Minor Maim." is directly from the patch notes, as is
    "Adjusted the Area of Effect damage thresholds for all abilities. The new thresholds are as follows:
    Targets 1 – 6: 100% damage taken with all secondary effects applied.
    Targets 7 – 24: 75% damage taken with no secondary effects applied (formerly 50% damage taken).
    Targets 25 – 60: 50% damage taken with no secondary effects applied (formerly 25% damage taken)."

    They don't hold your hand and explicitly state "This is a damage change that will effect enemies AND allies" but they DO include this information in the patch notes.

    Yes, that's exactly one of the things I noticed too. It's still the case after yesterday's patch. Also taking more damage from dolmen mobs and dungeon bosses on my stamblade (don't have Vigor, need to use Rend way more often than usual).

    Now you can should blame the petsorcs.. those scamps are always standing where they should'nt, aggroing like a ninja and doing other stuff to make it more difficult for the group.

    In vMA you can definitely notice, especially from bleeds and physical damage, appears to ignore armor and/cp resistance.

    Also it does not appear our physical pen. stats have the same impact on mobs. I.E. Twice Fanged Serpent set adds no damage, either not stacking or pen is not working in damage calculation.

    I think the 'power creep' might have got a little nerf :) About time....
    Because vMA totally needs to be buffed, 40 minutes for RNG weapons isn't bad enough :):):):):)

    Is this one of those "Law of Unintended Consequences" things, where ZOS wanted to make staves more attractive and not have magicka builds dual wielding so much, and this just sort of happened as a side effect? Or did ZOS really have a meeting where someone said, "Ya know what enemies are too weak? Overchargers!" :o

    Sounds like it's not associated with "concussed" effects only then.

    Did multiple maw hardmode runs last night. I did not see any instance of any increased damage throughout the trial. I think this is all placebo effect.

    Try vma solo with a stam build were you rely on physical pen and resist. Or just be carried through a trial and assume everything is fine, either way, something broke with this patch.

    First off I have run vma post patch on a light armor mag build with no shield.

    Secondly the op specifically mentioned maw. I have run all of the trials post patch and aside from increased damage on mage hardmode I don't notice any difference.

    Bleed damage is true damage.. It ignores all armor.. This was a change made 5-6 patches ago.. Maybe they fixed the remaining bugs..

    Stam is doing less DPS this patch so I'm assuming mobs are not dying as quickly as you expect hence the added damage..

    Have completed all HM trials post patch and the only place we took more damage than usual was SO and AA.. It makes sense because off the lightning passive change.. AA HM is now extra annoying though..

    If there is an issue with CP points placed into survivability perks (such as Hardy) not actually being accounted for post-patch, then such a reduction in damage mitigation should affect all damage types including bleed effects.

    Just finished a vMA run. The archers on stage 5 and 7 seem to be heating a little harder. Otherwise damage is unchanged in vMA.

    vMOL. vAA HM. vHRC HM. vSO HM. vMA on every single class.

    I noticed insane damage spikes in veteran maelstrom arena. Sometimes I die to one shots while having 18k shields, 20k health and holding block. Noticed this during ice arena and 7th arena.
    Profanity filter is a crime against the freedom of speech. Also gags.

    There is no fire or lightning that I can remember in VMoL. Maybe they are wielding staves or something don't know it's weird that it's happening in VMoL...

    WE KNOW, but SORCEROR lightning NO LONGER REDUCES MOB DAMAGE, and so the mobs will do more damage. It's not ABOUT the mobs doing lightning damage, it's about the lightning damage the PARTY is doing no longer reducing the damage of the mobs.
