I can see why some people are curious but I myself am not . Not only is it private information but there is no guarantee anything they talked about comes to fruition . By the time Marrowind gets released they could be going in an entirely different direction and knowing how ZoS , that is very possible . So the information they offered may end up irrelevant anyways in June . I'm not saying this is for sure but a possibility .

Good on zenimax for doing this. I wonder if the streamers got paid. Or at least flights and accomadation all expenses paid.

We can answer a lot of the more vague/non specifics after the embargo is lifted. We won't be able to ever(?) talk about specifics and stuff, but the questions asked by @usmcjdking would likely be able to be answered.

Overall the experience was amazing, there was a lot of learning for both us and the teams we worked with. Nothing was combative in terms of arguing/etc, and everyone's voice was heard equally between the testers and the devs. I'd love to say more and dispel a lot of the negative/hostile view towards this testing that the playerbase seems to assume, because 90% of the nonsense spewed in the forums saying that it was a wrong decision is highly mislead. The game (and all the players) WILL benefit greatly from what took place, for all aspects of the game.

So you are under a permanent NDA forever? Are the specifics of the NDA under the NDA? I am more interested in how people acted at the meeting. Did some of the guests play try to prevent other guests from asking hard hitting questions? How did ZOS respond to some of the thornier issues the playerbase has been dealing with? Were the tough questions even addressed?

This stuff should all be released eventually. Closed door secret meetings are not good for the community. I realize the need to keep some of it a secret for Morrowind, but once morrowind is on the PTS, this all should be revealed.

Im pretty sure they won't be on a perm NDA forever, i think it will be lifted near the end of the month or early next month when more info on morrowind comes out.

Gina did say there will be more info coming. Maybe in the next eso lives or two.

I'm not interested in the Morrowind information. Just the interactions and impressions of the place. For those who know where to look there's plenty of information about Morrowind already out there. Many do not enjoy spoilers though.

The comment on Deltia's Salad is on last Friday's ESO Live, not NDA if ZOS said it on ESO Live .....

Deltia probably wanted it under the NDA .....

The NDA will be lifted when the information goes public I.E. Morrowind hits PTS. Even if the very unlikely case the contract states it is indefinite, those who went cannot be held accountable for maintaining confidentiality of information that is already public (see unclean hands). There is no tort statute which allows an NDA to be enforced in civil court once the information that was being discussed is made public knowledge.

This goes without saying that there may be a few things they witnessed or discussed that we should not be privy to under any circumstance. Network security being a prime example. Disclosing said information without explicit permission is grounds for some backdoor individual antitrust law that probably exists from some case 100+ years ago.

    Some form of game testing/balancing.

By an extremely narrow micro-section of the playing community.

Many of whom are involved in revenue generation schemes based on their "superior" knowledge of the game.

And some of whom are advertising mouthpieces for ESO whose income depends on that relationship.

And who are only allowed to discuss what happened on ZeniMax's terms.

And no one sees a problem with this.

I bet the corporate bean-counters are so glad that healthy cynicism is almost non existent among the ESO playerbase - makes crass monetisation even easier.

I think it's entirely fair to say that Paulington does not stream for money, and spends most time in-game unsuccessfully attempting to start a WW ERP guild and the rest of the time pretending to be a new player who barely speaks English begging for gold in Stros M'kai. Thus a proper representative of the average member of our community.

    Ja, wo ist Kargstein?

The only difference is that I manage an endgame ERP guild (Hodor) that just happens to be a bit good at this whole "leaderboard" thing..

In reality I spend most of my time helping new players in a social guild I co-lead called TAL.

As one of the people that went to Zenimax I just want to remind you and others that we that went are under a strict NDA (a non-disclosure agreement), we can't say anything. So any new info about the game that might have come out of this will be from the devs here on the forums, the main website or on ESO Live.

About everything discussed or about Morrowind?

I'm actually much more interested in your feedback and their responses than anything about Morrowind.

Everything we spoke about is under NDA.

    Forever?

In any event, thanks for taking the time. The more time they spend talking with people who actually know this game, regardless of which particular aspects they prefer to play, the better.

I agree that it is good for Zos to obtain feedback on early development from those that have demonstrated significant knowledge of the game mechanics.

The NDA is probably like the real beta and alpha testing NDA and in the end those that participated were able to discuss it..

Knowing @runagate a little, you probably checked out this past weeks ESO live and there is a little alluded to the context of the work done this past week.

To be fair, what ZOS is doing isn't completely unexpected. ZOS has been in contact with special groups of players since long ago, two of my GMs are in some sort of special feedback group called Council of Nirn or something. They hold online voice chats with the devs, share our feedback and bug reports through there etc. They discuss upcoming stuff, and give feedback regarding current content. (Rumour has it that spellcrafting isn't dead, expect it in the next year or so.)

I know ZOS listens to our feedback because some of the changes made have been in direct response to feedback sent via these chats or through PTS testing. Not all are regards to balance or skill changes, small QOL things like Daedra Hearts dropping from daedra for example was one.

This current streamer/playtester invite seems a bit more like a PR move to be honest, a big public show of gratitude to certain more influential and well known people in the community, to build hype for the coming Morrowind expansion. While I don't doubt that some good work and feedback is actually being done here, I can't help but feel that this current event is a bit too lavish to be a mere playtest/feedback session. It's similar to the "review events" that other publishers hold for their games where they fly critics from big sites in, give them special treatment and all that.

Besides, Kai on the German forums mentions upcoming beta test groups for Morrowind, it's possible that the general public will have access to test the new content and give their own feedback soon. Just be a bit patient.
