Inventory management epic issue in ESO

Come on ZOS! What's the deal with being so lacking in storage options in game? What is the justification for forcing players to fill up their player slots with mules? Why isn't there more bank space availability? Why isn't there more carrying capacity per toon availability? Why isn't there expandable storage options with the purchase of a home? Why isn't there a mule option for a character slot that can carry much more than a standard toon?

Why ZOS? Why?

Why don't we have more storage and inventory management options in ESO? What is the justification?

ZOS could be selling these options, and they would be eagerly purchased even if grossly over priced.....and we STILL don't have the option available even at an exorbitant cost. Why?

I need 1400 storage slots to clear my mules...and I don't save anything that isn't a prime trait or in my craft bag.

It's a constant struggle. I have been playing since beta and still can't find a place to put all my items. So you aren't alone.

    Probably because it's expensive.

The kind of money you need to max out your bank and backpack is not easy to come by. This is especially the case if you are a casual player who does not belong to a popular trading guild.

But if you can't afford to max out your space right now, how could one afford to max out their space if they offered extra space in the crown store?

Yes, all 12 of my toons have max inventory slots available...it's not even remotely close enough to the storage capacity someone who does pledges every day needs. One of my mules is holding 200 monster set pieces, and not a single off trait in the bunch.

    They probably couldn't.

I was just expressing my opinion as to why many players have not fully upgraded their bank and back pack. I believe that it has more to do with the costs then the developer's assumption that it means these players don't need more space.

The reason of that is to force you to subscribe to eso+ and use crafting bag, which is super convenient and make all your inventory issues go away by the way.
If i didn`t buy all dlcs with crowns before and if they didn`t announce morrowind buyable only with cash it might be worth it, but for me paying 15$ a month just for extra bag is just too crazy...

I think you're right about this. It's probably the real reason they didn't include storage options associated with Homestead as well.

They want to keep that crafting bag as tempting as possible to lure in more subscribers and retain the ones they have.

This is the situation ZOS created when they made all dungeon items bind on pickup. This is the problem ZOS should solve, even if it means selling us what we need; we ill buy it at very high prices at this point. That's why I don't understand the hold up. They've got us to the point we will pay almost anything for the fix, and they still don't make it available to us.

I am not really having a problem... well a little, on one of my characters, but that is the one with all my enchanting runes and that is the only one that hasn't been using my horse feeding on carry capacity.

Deconstruct your stuff and sell what you don't need. You have a hoarding problem.

I have found a good solution. I don't play that often but when I do, I just don't pick things up. Then I don't have to do the thing I hate which is manage inventory. Nothing more boring and fun-numbing than sorting though your stuff to vend all the garbage you pick up.

It's a solution, but not a good one. The RNG system and the only 1 really good trait mechanic ZoS uses pretty much compels you to pick up every sharpened weapon and divines gear you even think about using or testing because it maybe months before seeing that same item again even if you farm repeatedly.
Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

This is one of the reasons I don't play any more. Got fed up with the headache, and I was plus subscriber with the craft bag.

Even though I had the craft bag I still couldn't manage all the stuff in game.

I mean I would love to collect a prosperous set just for gold farming and added fun but space is so tight options like this are just impossible.

ZOS either reduce the items in game or increase storage!

This guy has a point, most of my items are maybe oneday, but not tommorw, but I might use. Other players use, better keep it.

Your wrong bank and bag space upgrade has been here since launch. The craft bag didn't show up til about 6 months later. This is how the craft bag came to be, a post stating that the membership wasn't worth it and Someone suggested a bag to hold all ingredients. So before you put the blame on someone make sure you know what your talking about.

The inventory here is really bad, as someone posted, it'd literally "Fun-numbing".

Buy the game again and you get 12 more characters. One person in our guild bought 10 copies of the game has 10 accounts and started his own guilds so he could keep everything he wanted.

If you are okay with purchasing extra slots then maybe purchasing the game again is a viable and affordable option?

i have over 2k slots by a large margin... across my 12 characters. The account max is 2640 iirc but by the time you are near that buying a second game and running 8 mules for free (no monthly costs after buying the game and maybe some cheap backpack hits.) on it is more economical.
you can purchase via in-game gold or crowns space thru horses, space thru backpacks and space thru banks.

there is not a shortage of options for slots in this game.

We do need better inventory management and we do need IMO things like mannequins to hold "full loadouts" and i expect those will be craftable in the near future - Morrowind at the latest.

But folks expecting what one poster asked for where a crafted crate could take one furnishing slot and hold 2500 spaces - they are not gonna get that qanytime ever - IMO at least.

None of the previous "slots available got bigger or cheaper or easier" change solved the problems. The problem is - for me - lack of organized approach to keeping set pieces.

That is what i hope they give me help with - mannequins - will change my inventory life around.

You know you don't actually have to pick up everything and don't have to have a lot of different sets in your bank or on alts for a rainy day. It's entirely up to you if you do this.

Any Inventory issue faults really do lie at the feet of the user. 200 bank space and 200 inventory space; that's a lot of capacity. If we can't work within those boundaries we've no one to blame but ourselves.

Inventory issues are not the problems they use to be in the past. Players really need to stop blaming ZoS for everything and take some responsibility.
If you can be anything, be kind.

It seems to me we have a HOARDER issue and the player cannot admit to being a hoarder, most can't admit they have a problem. So instead of blaming themselves, it's easier to blame ZOS for not making easier to hoard stuff. As others have noted, most sets are not even worthwhile, and even ones that are will be outdated shortly by newer sets... and even then, having sets and not upgrading them to purple or gold pretty much makes them worthless anyway. So what's the point of holding on to them other than being a hoarder without being able to admit to that simple fact?!?

This is a game, and most of us pay to be here. With the RNG as it is in this game, it is NOT a problem on the user end.

This forum DOES have a huge problem with trolls though; more than any other forum I have participated on.
