@JinMori, the Dunmer are straight up ******** though.
Let's see how hard I can trigger @MythicEmperor.
The Tribunal Temple aren't "really" gods. They were five buddies: Indoril Nerevar, Almalexia, Sotha Sil, Vivec, and Dagoth Ur, who went to fight the Dwarves. When they were ready to assault the Dwarven stronghold, the Dwemer made a slight miscalculation and either beamed up, or obliterated themselves. Nerevar and Dagoth Ur went in to poke around and figure out what happened, while Almalexia, Sotha Sil, and Vivec chilled outside. Nerevar and Dagoth Ur found the tools the dwarves used, and Nerevar told Dagoth Ur to keep an eye on them, while he went to check in on his buddies.
Then, Nerevar's wife murdered him, with the help of Sotha Sil andn Vivec. They went back in, attacked Dagoth Ur, and then used those tools (The Heart of Lorkhan) to turn themselves into godlike beings. This pissed off a daedric prince (Azura, if you're wondering), who proceeded to alter the Chimer (who looked basically like Altmer at this point) singing their skin, turning their eyes red, in retribution for the hubris of those three. They then claimed, "no, really guys, we're gods now. Dagoth Ur went mad, and murdered Nerevar."
Yeah, no, the Dunmer are hypocrites and ********. They also follow false gods. As in, literally, the Tribunal are simply mortals, who used a divine artifact to gain immense power. Vivec pretends he's all knowing and wise, but if his logic seems a bit flimsy... that's because he's making it up as he goes. Almalexia is a shallow *****, with incredibly thin skin, who will gleefully murder people because she feels they're not adoring her enough. And, Sotha Sil doesn't care about much of anything, so long as he's got toys to play with.
So... yeah. That's the Dunmer.
Well, yes, dunmer are ***, and daedric prince worshippers, also false god worshippers, and slavers, but i really like the passives.
What's wrong with any of that?

Furry hates pointy ears, how funny. Breton's will rule all Tamriel one day. HUMAN MASTER RACE. Death to all non-humans.
That's all good and stuff, except you do know that Breton's are half Elf right?
Also as we learn in Morrowind, not all Dunmer worship the "Tribunral" and not all support slavery. There is even a side quest in Morrowind where you help break the "Dres Family" by liberating Argonian Slaves.

They aren't half elf. For half elf one of your parents must be an elf. But they have some elf genetics from millennials ago.

Nords consider themselves to be the children of the sky. They call Skyrim the Throat of the World, because it is where the sky exhaled on the land and formed them.

No, half-elf is correct. It's actually how Arena identified them during character creation.

Given that Sadrith Mora was flash fried, I can't imagine things were that cheery on the Telvanni Islands after Red Mountain went nuclear.

Her name was Ilmeni Dren of House Hlaalu, one of the worst Houses for slavery, theft and murder. I can understand why you enjoy playing that conceptually.
I'd like to add though that you have forgotten a non human, non elf race which shines at magic. Why not try the Argonian? While a magDK Argonian would not have the same damage output as a Dunmer it WOULD be a tougher character and superior at healing, which yes DK's can do. Between potion bonuses and ultimate-to-resources regen you'd be a tireless character. You don't have to play Dunmer in other words. Argonians are one of my favorite races in TES. They aren't perfect but I love the ones with the peaceful outlook on life and their sense of persistence. There is a lot noble about the Argonians, so I recommend you check them out!

Argonians are fit for nothing more than servitude. Was it their "peaceful outlook" that caused them to slaughter my kin in the 4th era? They are beasts, just like any other, no better than the common skeever.

Well, in Skyrim, Master Neloth states that the Telvanni still have holdings in Vvardenfell, which would indicate otherwise. Either way, it is unlikely that Port Telvannis received anything more than a bit of ash.
