I haven't bought one yet, but only because I can't afford it.
While the update was on the PTS I decided I want Mournoth Keep. But it costs 325,000g and when the update launched I only had 5,000. I'm now up to 14,000g but it's going to be a long time before I can afford it.
I also want Humblemud for my argonian and the Skywatch apartment for my Imperial crafter and I might get them first, just because they're cheaper, even though they're a lower priority.

"Remember in this game we call life that no one said it's fair"
Bought a large house with gold and immediately lost interest in it. I don't mind taking time to furnish it, after all I've been living in my main IRL home for 10 years and still not finished all the rooms to my satisfaction (it's a pretty big place however), it's the overall lack of functionality and meaning that Homestead incorporates.
I am sure ZOS will flesh it out over time, but until they do, I can't see myself visiting my house at all until it feels like it has some purpose.
I love it, but there's nothing to do once you're in the house. They've made it so hard to get crafting stations for the home that it's just sort of ridiculous.
I do love the homes, though. I bought Cliffshade (medium home). It's delightful to see it and place a few of my pets there. But ... then there's nothing to do. I can't even cook.
I think I technically own the little inn on DC right now. I did the quest, but I won't be visiting the room.

11k crowns worth it? that's like 60 euros\dollars, that's an entire *** game, sorry but i just can't see how it's worth it.
I had well over 11K crowns on my account, they were saved up over time as part of my ESO+ membership.
I do not care much for costumes and I only bought personalities and mounts that I liked.
I bought a furnished version of Daggerall Overlook with my saved crowns and yes I feel it was worth it as I have spent zero, zilch, nada on it as Crowns are not real currency and they are not the reason I subscribe.
With that said I would not have paid separately for crowns to make this purchase so form that angle I would say no, it is not worth it.
Confused? Not enlightened by my post in anyway? Good as that was not my intent

I had saved up around 2.5 million gold for my eventual house but uninstalled the game when the Crown Crates went live. By what I'm reading on the forums about the housing, there's very little reason to install the game for this update.

I did the quest and got my room in Ebonheart. Bought a giant tree and a carpet too big for my home. It's everything that I need as I don't see the point in wasting several thousands gold on a box for yourself/a guild when you can't even store your stuff there like a bank
